well the good news is when I went out to the mail box today there was something from CIC.... the Really really bad news is that it was my whole package I sent to them in February.....they want new copies of IMM0008,IMM5406 and IMM5490........
Yeah I'm not holding up so well now! :'(

oh! I'm so sorry to hear that, it must really hard to receive the whole package back! did they say what was not right with the forms? I really hope that it doesn't take too much to do it again, good luck with that!

is there a UCI number or File number attach with the letter if yes then fill out the forms ASAP and send it back to CPC-M and they will get back to in around 2 weeks.
dnt worry its another 2 weeks and you will catch up with everyone..

Oh no! So sorry to hear this I saw someone else said the same thing: they are mid Feb applicants, and just received their whole package back.
If all they want is the new forms, then it's really really unfair. Those forms weren't required when you submitted.

Yeah I'm trying to look at the positives and now I at least have our UCI number and I have till July 7th to get it all back and I will be working my butt of this weekend to get it sent out tomorrow or Monday! I just don't get why they wouldn't just send me a letter saying they wanted new copies of those forms instead of sending the whole thing back to me to have to pay to fedex again! and to think we chose to go with Canadian immigration because it was going to be faster and cheeper... I still think it will in the long run but right now I know that it is going to cost a hell of a lot just to cover the cost of all the extra ice-cream I will need this weekend!

Good luck with the extra work for this week end and thumbs up for your positive attitude, that's the way to go!! and hopefully, as you have a UCI, and maybe already an officer assigned, once you send everything back, you will get a fast-track and catch up, and not be delayed for too long.
Ice-cream - that sounds like a plan, you definitely deserve it! good luck!

You will get it there on time and I'm sure you will get back on track! They will pass you right through!

i know how u feel... the same thing happened to me... i was in tears and shaking...its honestly not fair at all they should just send u a letter saying u need these forms to be sent and u have till this date to do it if not ur package will be sent back.. this is just heart breaking..u have waited so long and now this..but at least u have a UCI number and they will accept it back and u dont need to go back in que for 82-90 days :-s

What were the reasons for CIC to send the entire package back to you? More to the point, what was wrong with those IMM forms?? Did they specify the problems?

This is not good at all...it means that they might send back packages quite late, as you should have already been approved according to the timelines...plus I read on this forum that they do an initial check to make sure everything is complete, so if you haven't received anything back from CIC after about 2 months of waiting, it supposedly means that the package is complete...I guess that theory is no longer valid...

At least you have a UCI number! Don't worry, just correct whatever they need corrected and get it back to them ASAP!!

Yeah it turns out my husband didn't sign where I told him to..... :-X
but the crazy thing for me is that the letter said this..
a separate and newly completed Schedule 1 background declaration form (IMM0008 Schedule 1)...
a separate and newly completed Additional Family Information form (IMM5406)..
a newly completed Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire(IMM5490)..
but when I go to CIC it says that IMM0008 is the Generic Application Form and Schedule A Background/Declaration is form IMM5669 and the Spouse/Common-law Questionnaire is IMM5285...
so what ones do I do? Oh and to top it off when I called the number that they listed on the letter it says that the number is no longer in service (888-242-2100)
