That sounds like a good plan, especially if you have a lot to organise at home. Good idea to stay close to the passport ;)

Hahaha!! Excellent! :D :D :D I am so happy for you guys, that is wonderful news. I'm so glad someone from an office with a less than stellar reputation has had good treatment in this batch!

Get on with the planning and the landing...don't forget the landing story/update, LOL, I want to hear it. :)

yeah as I've said I am shocked at how quickly and painlessly this has been more so dealing with SG. I would never have allowed myself to believe it would be this fast. Of course it totally screws up a bunch of other things as we were just going about our lives and not letting this thing dictate to us, but now we have flights and hotels to cancel and we were so lucky that the BMW dealer took my wife's car back with a very small penalty the plan now is to land later this fall as it has to match up with my current reporting period in Thailand as well. Plus we have to get to SG to pick up the passport in person not leaving it to mail after all of this. So likely we won't land until Oct or Nov.

They will allow us to land then as long as we make up a goods to follow list we can bring our stuff later? Just want to be sure as we do have a fair bit of stuff we do want to bring along.

Very funny this morning too when the courier showed up and rang the bell my wife was in the kitchen and I yelled in that a courier was here and did she order anything and she had actually ordered some books for our son so I figured it was that.. imagine my surprise to see the envelope and more so after opening it... *PHEW* pressure off.

Yes, you can land with the Goods to Follow list. It's recommended that electronics are listed with serial numbers and valuable jewellery is appraised for a proper value. Other items can be grouped together (clothing, books, etc) if those are being shipped over too.

Your finger crossing did the trick, received the PPR this morning. File went to "in process" July 17th, according the letter this morning it was sent from SG on July 20th so three days to tidy up as you called it.

I have to admit I impressed with how fast SG did our application. Feb 8th file received in Mississauga, sponsorship approved on March 8th, file received in SG on March 17th file in process July 17th and PPR request done three days later on July 20th the letter got here in three business days as they sent it by courier.

I only wish they handled all the other files so quickly and put some of the people waiting a long time out of their collective misery.
Congratulations!!!

I'm happy for the February applicants who are getting processed quickly. I wish it was us. Be thankful you live in countries where military service isn't mandatory and you don't have to go through endless CSIS checks for no reason.

Back to the reality of bureaucracy...

Congratulations.

Can't speak for Paris specifically, but in general it takes 2-4 weeks for most offices.

It takes as long as it takes. Only CEM can tell you how long it will take. We are not privy to their decision making timelines here.

Hello Everyone,
We had submitted our application for spouse PR in February to Mississauga, it reached CHC-ND in March and they started to process from April.
Just wondering how many applicants in the same time-line have received approval of their application. Is there a excel link etc? In total next week, the application will complete its 6 months.

Thanks

As at Kewjoe's last posting of the February applicants table on May 13, 2011, there were 4 applicants going through ND who had received their visas. There may have been more in the interim, but the table has not been updated since that date.

Hi everyone,

Its been a while I havent read updates on this thread. It seems many of us are moving so fast! Today I just checked my e-cas and recognized that they already removed my address information ::) Dont know why?
They asked me to send the RPRF by email in May, but I dig up my mail box and couldnt find any from them! Luckily, I asked them about the status of my application in June, and was informed about this. Honestly, it was just like a normal email, asking to pay the RPRF as additional missing documents, nothing mentioned about interview waived or my application comes to the final process. So I am quite nervous. So far, no news from them yet. But today, my address was removed on e-cas!

Haizzz, the waiting is quite challenging! good luck to all.

Hi, its me again!
:D :D :D
I just got an email from London tonight, to enquire my passport and that I was granted the permanent resident visa!!! It is so fast!
Here is my timeline:
16 Feb: application received
23 March: sponsorship approved
23 April: CQS received
26 May: request from London office about payment of RPRF, but I missed the email
28 June: 2nd email from London asking payment of RPRF
29 July: Passport request
P/S: Initially I planned to apply through Singapore, as I am not a UK citizen/resident, and am not living in UK. But now I see that London office is moving quite fast!!!

Thanks a lot for the update. We are still waiting, the passport was requested in April and no news have come since then.
