I too will be joining this thread, my husband should have everything ready for submission tomorrow via FedEx.

We have 4.3lbs of documents and photographs so far, he will be adding some more maybe enough to get it to an even 5lbs. :P

Good luck and speedy processing to everyone!

:o Wow! I hope my 2" pile will suffice :o

Ha ha....ooops...do you think I've sent to much?? ;)

Tiggy, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. An American/Canadian couple is less likely to be seen as non-genuine compared to our "Third World" wife and Canadian husband who met online, so I made sure to put all the evidence in there I could lay my hands on. The criteria may be said to be the same, but the perceptions I am up against don't apply to you :)

I will also join just submitted my papers on feb 4 th 2011...... yes my freind received papers for his indian wife within 2 and half months and she is already in canada........ hope everything works out......................

Agreed completely which is why I was so anal about everything double and triple checking it.

We actually ended up at only 1.9 kilo final shipment weight. It is a weird situation to be in having to "prove" your life is real haha...

Ok our outland Buffalo application arrived at Mississauga today (just checked tracking #).

So February 7th is my official start date 8)

Well I mailed out our app with UPS this afternoon and it should arrive by tomorrow afternoon ;D WHAT A RELIEF!! God willing everything goes smoothly (we have a bit of a sticky application- we're going to need an ARC). I know this is going to be a LONGGGG process but we're been married for 4 years now, a 2 year old little girl and living overseas for the process so fingers crossed.

As for my package, hmmm, it really wasn't that large- I included like 25 pictures (pretty bad eh?) and had ALOT (like 20+) cards & letters (we like writing eachother cards and letters- weird eh?)....I saw a friend of mind send her app off a few months ago and it weighed over 6 lbs!! I think mind was MAYBE 2 lbs...I'm sure the IO's are going to be thinking "IS THIS IT??". Maybe they'll be happy my application was simple/easy and be easier on us....lol....yeah right :-)

Anyway I look forward to hearing all the good news to come!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

my friend's (actually, my sister's friend) husband passed their application on mississauga last december (1st week).. she texts me whenever they have updates on ECAS.. for a month the ecas was idle but then when she checked on the last week of january the ecas stated that they are in the Decision Made status and on feb 1 she received an email telling her that the embassy needed her passports so that they can issue the visas (for her and her son). she sent the passports yesterday. lucky, eh?! her husband used an MP, at first I thought that maybe that was the reason why the application processed so fast but she told me that she read some people are having their PPR in a month.. and the slowest is 6 months.. i don't know yet where she read it.. what i know is that is a good news for all of us!

Hi Dorisiana,

I'm from december thread. CPC received our application on Dec. 3, and then they sent us a letter for the PPR on Jan. 26, 2011. My wife just received it Feb. 02, 2011. So I guess they're all processing the applications faster. I didn't get MP as long as you have your papers completed processing would be so easy. Good Luck to February Thread. and God Bless everybody. :D

WOW that was fast! I can't to tell my husband this news! just so awesome! i hope everybody will be as lucky as you and thank you for checking in this thread! i'm almost relieved lol! :D can i ask how many pictures you've sent? we dont have much letters or cards because we were living so close when my husband was here in the PH, and we're together every week.. and when he went to canada we chat and text and do phone calls so i had to save records of phone calls and skype calls to pass to immigration instead.. we are just waiting for my husband's one requirement and then our papers are ready to go!

Hi Guys.

Count me in. My wife just sent my files today to Mississauga. I will be waiting with you.
