Still here...waiting. Staying busy ticking other folks off my IO's checklist. I may not be going anywhere anytime soon, but heck, at least someone is! I'll take that to mean eventually my turn will come too. :D

Yep still sitting here waiting. We do not want to spend another summer in the south. So we are hoping we can get to Canada before that.

Good luck, CharlieD. I'll be praying you get it as soon as possible.

PPR, NEW SHINY VISA AND LANDING on the 30th baby!

I am a FEB 2011 applicant and haven't been updating this thread...We moved back to the "motherland" so we could all live together (try separating a Daddy from his 6 month old daughter- impossible) Anyway, my husband needed an ARC and I am happy to say it was granted :-)
The only thing that was holding us back was the expiration of his medical...which I STRONGLY believe was lost but I won't go there....he re-did his meds and about a month later (meds processed quickly) we got THE "phonecall"...it was the PPT request :-) He went in the next day and they told him to come back a few hours later to pick up his Passport and shiny new Canadian VISA!
So we booked him to fly into Toronto on Monday just so he can "land" and he cannot wait to drink a TIM HORTONS COFFEE!! I'm sooo envious....ohhh how I miss Timmies :-)
My husband lived in Canada for 10+ years so this is nothing new to him but he is SOOOO EXCITED AND PROUD to be a PR and it just makes me GIDDY with joy!
I am wishing everyone, esp. CharlieD (because I remember you from the start of this thread and you were always sooooo helpful!) a QUICK PPR and hope these VO's and IO's let all of us re-unite with our loved ones....People shouldn't be penalized for marrying or being partners with Canadians or be penalized for being born on a different patch of land!
Good luck everyone and see you all in CANADA!! (sooner than later)

Tdelyte!!! I'm soo happy it's all over for you guys, how excellent of you to update us! :D :D :D :D Good luck to you both, and thank you for the good wishes, really appreciate it. :)

Tell your husband Tim Horton's now has a mega-sized cup, hahah!!

Thanks alot CharlieD!! Greatly appreciated :-) I was just taking a look at the processing times on CIC's website (was wondering how long JA takes to process) and it seems, GOD WILLING if everything goes straight, you have a few months left....it says the majority are completed in 16 months.....God, I swear I wonder what the heck these IO's are doing in JA?? My VO's timeframe is about 5 months so why the hell is JA 16 months?? They must be going to Jimmy Buffets and seven mile beach or something??? Anyway I'll stop B*TCHING for you and just keep you in my prayers and wish for a speedy PPR for you and your spouse ;-)

When you get your PPR/VISA please let me know...I dont know if I'll always be on here to check out the BIG DAY for you!!

I have all kinds of theories about what they are doing here that makes it take 16 months, which one I share usually depends on how bitter I'm feeling that day. :P I'm at 9 months (just about) and counting since they've had my file, so whatever happens after this, at least I'm on the downhill side of the average, right? Thanks again for the best wishes!

This is the only time in my life I have ever wished to be below average. :)

Actually there is one more February applicant 'Mark5' who is still waiting but he's a non-US citizen.
