CharlieD10 and Calgary-Bound you have company. We are still waiting but I have found out our lawyer didn't send nearly 30 documents. All which pertain to the 12 month period the VO was looking for.

I am so mad I am beside myself. And his attempts at covering it up are ridiculous. I think we can safely say at this point I know the Canadian lawyer code of conduct better than he does. Idiot even wrote an email telling us "we were smart women". Oh, he11 no. And this guy came with a sterling reputation.

I can only hope the VO takes pity on us.

Hi all. I had to take a break from the site, sometimes it really gets me down knowing how many cases after us are done :/ I just want life to resume again.......

My medicals are about to expire on Dec 21, does anyone know the process about extending medicals? They need to be valid for landing correct?

Yes, they need to be valid. If you have been in Canada continuously since applying, it is possible they can be extended.

I know you need proof of when you entered Canada, but as for the exact process, no. I believe Calgary-Bound from this group has been successful or at the very least has begun this process of requesting that Buffalo extend the validity of their medicals, perhaps they might be willing to point you in the right direction.

Heres what I did and I was advised by a friend who works In immigration.If you got the medicals done in Canada there good for 2yrs.If not I contacted my MP and explained the situation.I had all my bank statement and sent copies to the MP and she forwarded them to Buffalo directly.If you have proof like bank statement,visitor visa, any documents like that then immigration will except this and extend your medicals if you have been here the whole time.I went home for visits a week here and there but it didnt effect the extension.Hope this helps.

I had my medicals done in the US so they would only be valid a year. I saw this on another thread..

In practice, Buffalo rarely if ever requests someone to redo his or her medicals (particularly if one completed them a relatively short amount of time before filing, as is suggested). Apparently, they extend them but don't directly communicate to applicants this step (i.e., it's an internal thing).

Still waiting to hear back from our attorney, I'm so confused. :-\

I would contact your MP.Buffalo said they had no records of me even being in Canada and thats why they was going to request for me to redo my medicals.If it wasnt for my MP I wouldnt have even known about this.As long as you have proof of being here the whole time you should be fine.

Today was my bring forward date for Buffalo to review my app again according to my MP so hopefully I hear something finaly.

Hey Calgary-bound I posted in the Buffalo thread but thought I'd catch you here too... I got PPR today and my BF date was Nov 21 hopefully you can use this to start a countdown?? (maybe one of those paper chains that you tear off a link each day haha!)
