:( Ok, as hard as it is not to panic - try not to. If you're panicking you're not going to think as clearly as you would normally. Use that energy to prepare things instead. Overkill with information and proof of relationship.

:( I hate this for anyone though, regardless of the reason. It just adds to the stress. We're all pulling for you.

Thanks for your encouragement! We have to print more photos (I just came back from visiting my husband), emails, msn conversations, phone bills, traveling documents, etc. I hope my husband will do well.... all is on his shoulders now! Ok.... breathe in breathe out lol We have 2 weeks to train ourselves!

You have two weeks to go before the interview, so it is too late to order CAIPS notes. However, you should definitely review with your husband all the information from your application as it was filed. Ensure he has adequate amounts of each of the various types of proof of contact listed (emails, telephone bills, passport copies, letters etc).

Review any and all "red flags" about your relationship (age differences, religion, education, language) and make sure he can competently explain why each of these things was not considered a barrier to your relationship. Basically, take yourselves back to when you first decided to commit yourselves to each other, and how you convinced yourself and others that these things did not pose an insurmountable barrier to a happy marriage.

Thank you so much for this amazing feedback!!! There are red flags. One of them is the age difference (I am much older than him). We have discussed this topic a lot and we are prepared with very good answers. The other red flags are that we have different religions and I work and he does not work. Yes, we have 2 weeks to gather all the necessary proofs. I am just coming back from visiting my husband (3rd trip in 12 months!!!), so we have new pictures, traveling documents, etc. On top of that, we will print recent emails and msn conversations. Oh! let`s not forget the phone bills. Thanks again for your kind reply!

FINALLY! After eCas saying We received ____'s application on March 11th, and having NO updates since then, I logged on today and saw THIS!!!

We received your application for permanent residence on March 11, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 15, 2011.

One step closer to my husband coming here! We haven't seen each other since January 7th, and it's our 2 year anniversary on Sept. 9th.

One more for February - at least a step in the right direction! Stay positive, we're all going to get there!
Hi, I hope I have the same update as you had. I've been waiting about the same time you have and on eCas it still says "We received your application for PR on March 9, 2011."

I didn't realize that this meant that they haven't even started processing the app :(

I haven't seen my husband since Jan as well...thank god for Skype!! I'll be visiting him in Chile this October and hope we have some good news by then :)

All the best!!

Don't worry.... our eCas still says: "We received your application for PR on March 31, 2011". And my husband received email this morning from the visa office... he has an interview on September 12!

Really?? At least you got some response back.

I'm worried that if they have sent an email to my husband, they might have sent it to his hotmail account that got cancelled because of a virus issue :(

He did send the visa office his new email address but who knows if they've received it or not :(

Did you also get the email that your husband received?

Good luck to your hubby on his interview :)

I did not get the email that my husband received. Our application was received at the visa office on March 31 and on June 27 they phoned my husband to ask him lots of questions. They also asked him to come the day after (June 28) to deliver more pictures and emails. Once he got there, they told him they would give him a definite answer in 25 days. I arrived in Morocco on July 2nd and left August 4 and during all this time we have not heard from them. Finally, this morning they sent an email to my husband.

I suggest you wait for further information from New Delhi. Honestly, that office has a 6 month average processing time, you've been waiting 5 months, your PP has been received, your medicals have been received, is it REALLY that hard to wait another month for a reply? Relax, OK? There is nothing more needed from you at this point unless and until they decide so.

On August 26th I received an update on eCas or it appears I have.

There are now two lines showing my sponsors name and not one showing mine.

But it still says "We received your application to sponsor XXXXX on March 31, 2011. "

Does this mean they have started working on her file?

Thanks

Gerry

There seems to be something odd going on with eCAS yet again. Many persons are reporting seeing two lines instead of one under the sponsor's name, addresses are appearing and disappearing. I wouldn't make too much of it, if it doesn't change to "In Process" there is no way of knowing if they have begun processing.

A couple of days our eCAS shows "In Process" for the sponsorship application and "Application Received" for the permanent residence application. Go figure! Also a new line appeared: "(name of my husband) interview is September 12". It never showed "In Process" since the visa office received our application on March 31 and we already have interview!!!
