Hello guys,

Hope everyone is doing great. I applied for my Canadian permanent residency back in June 2010 from New Delhi for FSW 0213 program and I was cleared by NS by Sept 2010. I submitted all the necessary paperwork to the Canadian High Commission in Nov 2010 and have been seeing my application in process since March 2012.

I moved to the United States last year for work and have been here since June 2012 onwards. I received request for medicals which were done and submitted to the High Commission as shown on my status.

Now, I am submitting rest of the paperwork (except my passport) to the High Commission in New Delhi, but, I am not certain how to go about submitting my passport? I am not in India and I am certain that I cannot mail my passport or send via somebody, I think that is illegal.

Now, I don't feel comfortable enough to go to India and submit my passport to the High Commission without having any idea when will it be returned. Can my case get transferred from India to the United States? If yes, will the process start all over again? I looked all over the Internet, but, couldn't find information related to changing my visa office.

Hi Nage,

As far as I know there is no provision yet for transferring cases from one Canadian High Commission to another between countries. Though medicals can be done in any country and sent to the respective Canadian High Commission. You can submit ur passport in 3 ways:
1. Either travel to India in person and send your passport to CHC, New Delhi (which I understand that you are not comfortable with)
2. Send it through someone you know who happen to be travelling to India and ask them to send it to CHC, New Delhi
3. Or take a risk and send it through a trustworthy international courier service

Dear Getcanada,

Sorry that I cannot help much with the points mentioned in your CAIPS notes. We almost have similar timelines. I too have initiated towards applying for CAIPS through a friend in Canada. Once I get my CAIPS notes, we could compare. Meanwhile let's hope we both get our MR.

Sorry to bother you but could you make a correction in my case: Though I applied in Jan 2010, the idiotic consultant wasted 1 whole month and they forwarded my application to Nova Scotia only in Feb 2010. So please could you change it to 02-2010 in the tracking.

NEW CAIPS
Hi All,

I received my CAIPS today...

There are no changes compare to last CAIPS however below are the few observations:

Additional sections/Act are added (1)(C) and s.19 (1). (old sections/act: s.15(1) and s.16(1)(C))
seems to be like they have updated some notes till march 2013 hosever everything is hided.
new BFD is june 3013.

rest all no change.

Please give your suggetions.
