Got my oath invite letter for Fri, Nov 27th two weeks ago. However, my ECAS is still not updated. Anyone else experiencing this? I assume it isn't a problem...

Received my oath invite yesterday. Will be joining the ceremony on December 22nd. Ecas not yet updated but that doesn't matter as I have the letter.

For those waiting for their turn, wait patiently, it will come.

Thanks everyone for the guidance. This forum has help me keep my sanity during the waiting game.

Good luck to all of us. :)

Don't worry, CIC is very bad at updating ecas. If you got the letter that's what matters. Congrats! :)

I was just about to update the Feb tracking sheet with my oath date and I saw that it has already been done. Whoever did it, thank you!! :)

Finally my E status got updated this morning and got Oath date for 15th December :)

@pardesifr: Didn't I tell you last week that this would happen?

There you were worrying... Its clear that at CIC there IS a method to the apparent madness!

Though "CIC" "Method" and "Madness" cant be used together in same sentence lol

I have similar timeline except I had my test on Sep17 and will have oath tomorrow on Dec4.In Calgary the Feb applicants are taking their oath.I am not sure about Toronto, why are they taking much longer, may be the offices are more busy there.

At last!
Oath taken on Dec.4 at last
process completed, thank you every one for the help and assistance throughout this long ordeal.
good luck to all who are at different steps of the process and best wishes always.
regards

I am now done as of Dec 3rd.

I took my oath along with 100 other applicants in The Art Gallery.

I also saw this: Before they asked us to stand for the oath, an applicant had a very fussy child and had to leave temporarily to quiet the child down. She was still not at her seat when the oath was taken (she may have taken it in the back of the venue), but, unlike the stories here in this forum before the change of government (like not receiving the certificate because of a bathroom break, etc), she was allowed to receive her certificate(and her child's too).

So, maybe there is a light going forward, and no more fear in the process.

That is good for so many going forward.

Thanks to all :)

Now I am in an interesting situation. I am from Ottawa and passed my Citizenship Exam on September 2, 2015 still waiting for the oath letter whereas my ecas status is saying "Decision made".

On the other hand, one of my friend from Kingston passed the exam on September 4, 2015 and had her oath in 3rd week of November in Ottawa.... weird ....

Hi Everybody,

We have finally come to the end of our journey and became Canadian citizens today in Calgary. The ceremony was very nice, everything went smoothly and the judge made a super touching speech (at least we were very much moved by that Smiley). He was not only professional but funny too! He also had some kind words to each new citizen when they took the certificates from him. It started around 8.30am (we were asked to be there at 8am) and took roughly an hour. Then we had a chance to take some pictures with the judge.
Overall it was a fantastic experience. I thank you all on this forum for your continuous support. For those who are still waiting: just be patient and your time will come sooner than you think!

May God bless you all!

Christine
