Congratulation to everyone who got their Oath letters.

Meanwhile I am approaching 4 months since DM and no sign of oath letter. Don't know what's going on in Montreal office :(

Congrats to all who got OATH invites

@pardesifr: I suspect you will get your OATH invite between now and end of November. It has to be so...

Hi all,

I received RQ after test, all documents submitted Nov 7 and the status changed to 'Decision Made' probably last week (I haven't checked for a while). So far nothing else received.

Is this a good sign?

Thank you all.

I believe you should get your oath invite within 2-3 weeks.

Hi Everyone,

I have a question and I hope someone will be able to answer it here. So we have received our oath invites today (me, my husband and our son). Our son is 8 years old and the letter says that "a person aged fourteen (14) or older who is granted Canadian citizenship must take the Oath of Citizenship to become a Canadian citizen." Does that mean that our son doesn't need to come with us even if he received the actual invite by mail?
Thanks for your help!!

Christine

@Christine32: Your son does not have to take the oath, but must be there to officially receive his citizenship certificate.

No. Minors are not required to be present at oath. Their certificates may be received by the parents. My wife received our children certificate in March. Kids were at school at that time.

Thank you, guys!
Seems like he wants to come with us anyways. :-)

Finally got oath letter. Took test first week of Oct. Applied end of Feb. Total processing time from the date I sent application up to oathtaking day is 9 months. This forum helped me a lot in this journey. Thanks everyone. Thanks to CIC too. Next week, I will now be a citizen.

To everyone still waiting, be patient and your turn will be next very soon.
