To my own utter surprise, I have this morning received the online invitation for my own oath ceremony to be held on the 2nd December!

Montreal office(Test taken in Quebec city)
Application rcvd 19th Feb
Processing started 7th May
Test 31st August
Oath will be 2nd December

Hi Everyone,

My ecas has finally changed to Decision made this morning and it is now updated with the invite to the oath ceremony to be held on December 10th 8am. Paper notice was mailed to us on November 16th (haven't received it yet).
My son' s ecas shows still "in process" but his ecas was updated with the invite too. And of course my hubby's ecas shows the same.
It is encouraging for people who had to go through the fingerprint process that it does not delay the overall process too much.

Congrats to fellow applicants getting OATH invites. Applied for passport yesterday, have vacation plans with the wife to travel to South East Asia end of month for 3 weeks so paid for xpress will take 5 business days and be ready by next Thursday just in time. If anyone has questions on the passport app just ask away I will do my best to reply as soon as I check on here.

Hi everyone,

I have some good news...

I received my oath invitation letter today in the mail!

My Ecas was updated exactly last weekend with a 5th line which reads:

"We sent you a notice on November 13, 2015 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on December 7, at 10:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to your scheduled appointment, please contact us."

One thing I noticed though, is that my invitation letter from CIC came in an unsealed brown envelope. It seems that the officer who mailed the letter/forms forgot to seal the envelope, whether deliberately or not. I wasn't ... pleased when I noticed that, I must confess, but it's irrelevant now.

Ecas was updated on the 19th, Oath notice was sent (according to them) on the 17th, and it looks like (if MapleTree's post is any indication) I should be getting a brown envelope next week.

It makes me wonder - in this day and age of electronic correspondence, why does the CIC still use snail mail for something this important? maybe Trudeau the Younger and his Ministers of the round table (or Centre Block) can change that.

AOR: March 12th, 2015
Started Processing: June 1st, 2015
LOT: June 5th, 2015
Notification for Test: September 4th, 2015
Test: September 22nd, 2015 (Scarborough Office)
DM: September 23rd, 2015
Notification for Oath: November 19th, 2015
Oath: December 7th, 2015

I have not received the physical letter yet. I'm hoping it'll come in today or tomorrow.

Praying for everyone who is still waiting and my heartiest congratulations to everyone who already received their oath dates and those who have completed the entire process!

When did your ECAS get updated? My interview was at Mississauga on 21 Sep. Decision Made since 23 Sep. Still waiting for oath invite.

Hi Jondon, my e-cas was updated on either friday (20th) night or saturday (21s) EARLY morning, i'm not entirely sure which.
