well it depends on case officer if u have receipt to show that u submitted your passport for renewal may be they will take it light but mostly they want to see your passport to match entry exit stamps with your residency sheet to match date so there may be a chance of RQ if you don't have passport in hand to show,,, if you can withdraw ur passport from embassy that will save you to get RQ but thats ur call show the officer ur receipt for passport renewal may be he/she will accept it but its depend on officer.

I did ask for the passport to be returned, will send it back again after the test day :)

Wondering if anyone had a similar issue or any advise for me.

My health card expires in Nov and i will be renewing it, should i inform CIC? my test is on Nov13th, should i just take my new health card?

My health card expired too and I renewed it. I don't think it is required to inform CIC; I did not. I'll take my new health card for the test and probably also have the old one (just in case) but it's not valid anymore obviously.

Both my driver's license and PR card expired before my test. They asked for my PR card and retuned it with no question during the interview after the test. I showed them my new driver's license with no issue as well. I did not inform cic of the expiration/renewed cards.

Hello!
Any updates from ur side?
I kind of feel less worried since we r in the same boat!

No :/ ... it'll come hopefully, I'm not worried. But checking your emails/mail/ecas everyday for the last 4 months is brutal.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/cit-test.asp

This link says that oath is within 6 months after test.

Today my husband's ecas has changed to decision made (his fingerprint was submitted to cic on oct 8) however neither my ecas nor our son's ecas hasn't been changed. Did anyone experience something like this before?
Thanks,
Christine

The eCAS for kids (unless they have written the test) doesn't change, but they get the certificate when you do.
eCAS updates (or lack of updates) unfortunately do not always reflect the current status of the application.
The call center don't do a good job either about the current status... and they wonder why CIC dept is
flooded with ATIP requests, which are so wonderfully coded that we need a professional decoder.
The CIC ways are sure not transparent.

I am a little confused so far I saw ECAS updated saying I am invited to OATH for November 23rd at Scarborough, when I refreshed the page the line was gone. Stumped I just called the Call Center and they say based on records they see it is November 13th. ECAS does not have the 6th line yet so if what the CIC agent says is true YAYYY Shocked Shocked :o :o

Congrat Samreen :)

In my Ecas I always had 6 lines since I was invited for Test. So I don't understand why they say Ecas don't have 6 line :S
