We sent you a notice on September 24, 2015 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on October 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

That was on my eCAS today. Glad that my journey is nearing its end and thank God, it's been smooth sailing so far. Wonder if it will be at the Scarborough or Mississauga office.

Good wishes to all applicants.

My Father and younger brother received oath letter today. They applied one week after me and did the exam more than a month after me. ( check my timeline). I've been waiting more than 3 months since test and decision made almost 3 months.
Have u tried calling or speaking to someone?

Anyone from Montreal got any Oath date ? Its been 2 months that I have passed the test and no news yet. The status online was changed to Decision made just after 4 days of Test.

Thanks

Hi Pardesifr,
I can't help you with your question, just curious how you were able to apply for citizenship in February if you only landed in Canada in September this year?

Hello seniors,

I just found this forum and found it is so useful, decided to be a member. :) :)

I am a Toronto applicant and sent my application in Feb 4, 2015. They transferred my application to local office( I dont know where) on June 10, 2015.

Could you advise me when should I expect to receive my test?

Thank you and appreciate your help.

We took the test on September 23 and today my hubby got a fingerprint request. Does anyone know how long this process takes?
Thank you!!!
Christine

Post test fingerprint? If it's a request coz the name or DOB matches some criminal database, it should be
straightforward... not much of a delay. There were some here ,ScubaC, I think who got the fingerprint request
before test and the test invite in 3 weeks, I guess...
But post test request shows that screening is still ongoing, and test invite doesn't really mean much
in terms of if everything looks good, hearing this at the interview that 'all looks good' should be taken with
a pinch of salt, probably means 'looks good as of now'... if further screening shows any flag, it could take longer to
process...
So test is just another step in the process. Although, in most cases tests are usually followed by an invitation to
the ceremony in 2-3 months...
it may still take u guys not more than that, in any case finger print or not...

We don't understand either...When we had the interview after the test, we were told that everything looks good and that we should expext to get the oath invite within 1-3 months. My husband has never had any legal issues, he is absolutely clear so we hope it is just and extra caution from cic and we will soon get the oath invite.

Congratulations.

Good to know that Mississauga office has started moving... Hopefully cases with over 3 months in 'in-process' state will be moving now...

Thanks,

Hi,

I got a status change today -- following has been added to the status:

We sent you a notice on October 2, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment.

In the eve, I checked the mail and got the test invitation letter for 17th-OCT-2015. Meaning no time for test prep and havent received the book either :o

I have read comments related to test prep and are really helpful. However, I have question related to kids, my application was for myself and dependent kids. Is there anything related to kids that needs to be done? like do I need to carry them for test/interview?

BTW, m e-case status never showed statue like "transferred to local office ..."

Thanks,
Asif

My previous reply didn't go through for some reasons. So today my husband got his fingerprint taken as soon as he received the letter. His fingerprints have been sent to RCMP in Toronto (not sure why Toronto?) and they are supposed to send the result to cic withon 5-10 business days. So if there will be no changes in ecas after 2-3 weeks we will need to call cic to get confirmation that they actually received the results from RCMP. I hope it will all be ok and we will get our oath invite soon.

2 weeks is standard. No time? 1 week is plenty. Booklet is not sent. Just download it. There's an audio version as well. Try several online tests as well. But make sure to read every line in the booklet, including rather especially the figure legends... Tests are not for kids. Don't have to any documents related to kids or kids with you.
