Hi Friends,

If anyone in Calgary, same timeline please share your ideas. I heard some rumor that before the election in October, citizenship will be issued. Is there any truth?

File transferred to local office, Calgary office will contact you line disappeared.

Same here. Local office is calgary, file was transferred on May 21 but now the transfer line has disappeared.

YG let me know when you get your letter, I have almost the same time line. yet It says that they sent it on the 15th but I haven't received anything.. what area are you ?

Guys! What a great way to start the week

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 19, 2015.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 17, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on April 8, 2015.
4. We sent you a notice on June 19, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on July 22, 2015 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a letter on June 19, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

On the other hand, it is very frustrating for guys like me. I'm living in downtown Montreal, they received my application on Feb 5th and it is still in process since May 5th. not even sent to the local office yet.
I can't help but think that there is a problem as I keep seeing people getting their exam dates. :/

Montreal. It was a pretty quick process thankfully for me. They received my app Feb 19, AOR march 12, processing March 28, transfer to local office april 28, May 12 transfer to local office again ( I'm assuming this means received by local office), june 8 test letter for exam june 23.

less than 4 months between receiving and test letter.

Not necessarily, it depends on the clarity of the case. i'm a student and a university transcript makes life so much easier since they can see that I was attending. Plus, adding letters of explanations to some possible ambiguities also helps.

I received email for acknowledgement for my citizen application, no other mail by Canada post. Is it normal or you guys receive any mail by post. Also , waht about test invite, does it comes through email as well?

They don't send snail mail by Canada Post, they only send e-mail for acknowledgement. However they only send you a snail mail for test invite and no e-mail will be sent. The only way to keep getting updates is for you to keep an eye on your ecas.

They don't send snail mail by Canada Post, they only send e-mail for acknowledgement. However they only send you a snail mail for test invite and no e-mail will be sent. The only way to keep getting updates is for you to keep an eye on your ecas.

To add more into this: Don't rely on ecas as sometimes it updates and sometimes it does not. However you should still check ecas everyday.

The main point:All you need to do is to watch for your physical mailbox everyday for any test invites or any correspondence from cic.

Not true. I received my test invitation letter by email...i don't know about oath letter

My file has been transferred to the local office. I'm in Toronto/Etobicoke. How do I find out what they chose as my local office?

YG, actually it is not me lol it is my sister, she had her test on the 15th and the decision was made the same day just like your case.. so far she has nt received anything, called cic she said we can't do anything until it is passed the delay time in delivery which is june 30.. so we are just crossing fingers and hoping that she gets it anytime now
