Citizenship
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 18, 2015.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 4, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

But actually I got the aor email one night be4.

When were you able to access the ecas? It still comes up as if I have no application :( "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided"

I got AOR email on Mar 3rd and it shows up online this morning

Do you have any idea why you received yours so soon?

Well, this is good to know. Now the rest of us in February can calm down and wait our 40-50 days.....

Why do you think we have to wait 40-50 days cleo? There are some who got it after 20 days!

The average is 40-50 days. I don't want to get hopes up thinking this will be over quickly. What's a few more weeks after waiting 3 years, plus a year for PR. It will come when it does. My husband has a stable job so he's not in any need of "urgent" processing. We're lucky I guess. And I'm happy we got to apply before the new requirements come into effect.

Time to go out and enjoy the sunshine here! Happy Saturday everybody.

I am very surprised too. Never heard of urgent processing for Citizenship nor seen anything on the website.
Do you care to elaborate more @tts540?

The hurdle with urgent processing is to prove that your employment is pending the grant of citizenship. Except for certain jobs that have high security requirements, PR can expect to be treated exactly like Canadian citizens when it comes to employment. So there is no ground to qualify for urgent processing even if you are struggling to find a job. Nothing to regret here.

you can find the information regarding urgent processing, just google search Canadian Citizenship urgent. As for the job, i need to say and work in a different country for a while and i can only do so if I'm a Canadian Citizen.

hope this information helps! :)

I think my guess is right, it sound like army forces job description 8)

Todo list:
- Move to scarborough and reapply from there to get my citizenship in 4 months.
- Getting hired by tts540 employer to enjoy a world guiness book mention of my 24 hours AOR ;D
