Any update Feb test-takers?

Seems like there was a wave of Oath invitations sent out to test-takers and now there's a hiatus as they prepare to send out invitation to the next batch or something like that!

Any idea how long this hiatus usually lasts? I read on the forums that some March test takers have already received Oath letters too.

Hi all

I just called CIC about my file status. According to her saying, my file already moved to Scarborough office and waiting for the oath scheduling and no additional papers required. By the way, I took my test at St Clair office on February 10, 2014.

Chryss, its just an assumption - I should not be judging speed of workflow just from the number of participants in this forum! it'd be a small sample to draw any conclusion

My file didn't move to scarborough yet. I wrote my test at St. Claire on 24th Feb 2014. I had an RQ. Did anyone else call CIC till now? I mean the ones who wrote the test at St. Claire between 18th Feb and 27th Feb.

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 18, 2013.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on July 18, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on October 2, 2013.

4.We sent you a notice on February 7, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 21, 2014 at 11:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

5.We sent you a notice on March 3, 2014 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
*Note: Citizenship and Immigration Canada does sometimes schedule events on Saturdays or Sundays.


6.You became a Canadian citizen on March 15, 2014.

The officer told me expect 2 months before I get a oath letter, but I got it within 2 weeks!!! 8 months of total processing time. CIC is getting faster. good luck everyone!

Applied June 2012, in process Jan 2013.

Took and passed test in Calgary Feb 21 2014, was notified Feb 24 of test on March 26/2014.

I have an update: today, I got my oath notice letter by mail to attend the oath ceremony on April 1 in Ottawa,

It appears that Ottawa is processing Feb. test applicants from a stack :

Can you please share the date of the letter of oath? Do you have your eCAS updated?

The date on the letter is the 19th of March. Yes, my Ecas has been updated today, I checked late last night and it wasn't updated yet.

Congurts ,, hopefully All feb test takers will receive their oath letter be March ends ,, for me the waiting game is so difficult and overwhelming I am sure yours too ,, what the max time should we wait until we before we loose our hope? I was told 3-6 weeks max 8! Test was in miss on February 20th! Thanks
