Congratulations guys! I am finally accepting this ITA. Thanks to FBI delays, I had to decline the 27-Jan invite. Lets make this thread productive for everybody!

Why did you have to decline 27th Jan ITA? Couldn't you submit a letter of explanation asking for an extension?


My PCC application was received by FBI on Jan 25th, 2016. So it's a long way to go.

I got an ITA on Feb 10th, 2016. I am planning to submit an LOE for FBI PCC. I will have all other documents ready by tomorrow so I am planning to submit the application tomorrow along with LOE.

Should I wait till the end of the 60-day period instead? Will the processing start without the FBI PCC or will CIC halt the processing until they receive FBI PCC.

Why did you have to decline 27th Jan ITA? Couldn't you submit a letter of explanation asking for an extension?
FBI received my fingerprints on 3 Feb (after the 27 Jan Draw). So I thought its safe to show them that I proactively sent my fingerprints for PCC before accepting an ITA. Another reason is that I would have to submit the application before 25 March and would have gotten an extension for PCC till 25 May. I don't think Ill get the PCC until first week of June (looking at current PCC timeline of ~18 weeks for delivery). Therefore, I decided to accept 10 Feb ITA and will mostly submit my application by 8 Apr.

I know. We just have to hang in there.

I suggest you wait until last week of March. Its not guaranteed that CIC will provided another extension. So its better to wait. Even I have most of the documents ready.

What kind of issue? When you say returned, was the application rejected?

I lived across 3 cities in India but my PCC stated only one city address.

Application was deemed incomplete and hence returned (NOT Rejected)

I have the same problem. Sent my fingerprints to FBI on Monday, they should receive it by tomorrow. But got the ITA yesterday. So, feeling a little iffy about this. I have all my other documents in check, only need the background check from FBI. I hope, immigration officers understand that it is not our fault that FBI takes so long to process a background check...
