The gold transfer was done 5 months back in my savings account. I want to create an FD just to skip to show my loan in the savings account. Also, do I need to show past 5 months bank statement for the same?Get the gold sale receipt and prrof of the transfer of funds from your account to the FD.
Like many attested to earlier in this forum, the CIC is not interested to see your outstanding debts. If your source of funds was longer than 6 months, you wouldn't need to show the 'source'. However, your FD was created just 2 weeks ago, and it wouldn't harm to 'explain' the source of funds atleast in the LOE. To be honest, I haven't heard of CIC asking applicants on the source, and that doesn't mean they cannot !The gold transfer was done 5 months back in my savings account. Did you receive your ITA yet? You should be more worried about the Income Tax authorities rather than CIC in my opinion.Hi I have 2 transfers to my account in may 2017 which are of higher value. This money was deposited from another account of mine (deposited into that account by my parents).
What proof would I need as a supporting document?

As stated earlier, if it’s more than 6 months you don’t have to furnish source of funds. Any time frame lesser could necessitate scrutiny, and it’d be better to have a ‘Source of Funds’ document.
