I had taken fingerprint from the nearest police in India when i went to vacation on September 1st week 2014. I also included that Fingerprint form that i got from the police station in the CEC application package. I already submitted my CEC application package on September last week 2014. I am waiting for my police clearance certificate from India. I didn't receive AOR.

I don't know if cic will return my application because of this FBI form.It is a form with my fingerprint on it.I don't know if I have to sent this FBI form to somewhere else. I totally confuse about this FBI form.

Please give me a reply,

Well its advisable to not send any un-necessary docs , fingerprints taken needed to be sent to FBI for clearance not to CIC.

Wait for your AOR thats all you can do.

??? Why did you include finger prints in the CEC application? It is not one of the requirements. It is not a problem, unecessary documents are usually ignored or discarded. But if you need an FBI clearance (did you live in the USA?), you need to apply for that from the FBI.

I think what you're you're asking is "Why haven't I received the AOR in 3 or 4 weeks," and the answer is because it usually takes ~ 2 months.

Thanks For your reply :)

I have visited USA but I never lived there. When I have checked CEC Instruction guide for How to obtain police certificates:

When applying for police certificates, you should include for each person:

A completed Request for Police Certificates/Clearances and Authorization for Release of Information) (PDF, 59 KB) form (see Appendix A). Include photocopies for each applicant.
A set of fingerprints, if required by the authority of the country. Your local police or RCMP may be able to tell you where you can get fingerprints done. Take the Fingerprint Request Letter (PDF, 56 KB) and your photo identification (passport, travel document, etc.) with you when you go to get fingerprints taken. You may have to pay a fee.
Your complete mailing address (certificates will be sent directly to you)

LOL, yes, but that's to apply for police clearances, not to apply for CEC : ) The instruction guide also provides a LINK to more information on PCCs. You submit the PCCs to CIC, not the applications for PCCs. You have to follow the instructions for every country you have every lived in for at least 6 months:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/

But it sounds like you don't need the FBI certificate in any case...

Did you lived in US more than 6 months ? or you just visited for few days ?

I just visited USA for 1 day. Omg I misunderstood.I thought we have to submit both police clearence certificate and finger print for CEC.

When I applied for PCC in India they didn't ask for finger print. When I ask them ,they said to me if you need finger print for immigration you can do it there.

Man you are mixing lot of things . if you have any doubt ask in forum before committing as big as filing PR application.

Straight forward Logic is - if you have lived 6 months more than in any country apart for your country of origin , PCC of country is needed + your own country PCC is needed that too its not mandatory to provide at the time of application.

2nd thing for US - if you have lived for more than 6 months yes you need fingerprints but that too need to be sent to FBI so they can check in their database for clearance . That letter need to be sent to CIC.

3rd Thing - Canada RCMP clearance also requires fingerprinting , once fingerprinting acquired need to be sent to RCMP for clearance , But this is only required if CIC asks for it.

Hope now you are clear what you need .

How is the 6 month duration calculated? How many days would it come?

My stay was from 22 May 2009 to 21 November 2009. One day Less than 6 months on calendar but 184 days if counted.

Will I need pcc from FBI?

Hi,I received an ITA on October 18th but lately i noticed that my husband needs FBI report and it takes 14 weeks to get it. I guess we will not receive it in time for AOR deadline. Is there any chance we can send the forms that we have sent to FBI as proof? Also do the fingerprint forms be signed by someone?
