Ladies and gentlemen, are you sending one copy of your fingerprints or two, to FBI?

I sent 5 copies of fingerprints and i'm still doubtful whether it will be accepted, as i did it myself !o_O

wow! That sounds like an overkill!

In anticipation of getting an ITA, just sent my fingerprints to FBI.

Optimism is better than pessimism :)

Just FYI guys...I called them Yesterday. They were going through packages received on March 23rd. Based on recent dates that people have posted they should be opening your case after 56-59 days.

So the timeline is approximately 55-60 days from the day of receipt + 10 days if you are in the US for courier= 70 days is a good time.

I had my fingerprints taken by official police department of my university. They had the proper machine and all and I sent in 4 copies. Is there any way to determine whether it will be acceptable to them?

Also, my courier says my documents were received on a Saturday? How is that even possible?

They should be fine. Unfortunately, no way to determine unless the final report is received. FBI will charge your card when they open the packet and process (either with a correct result or report an issue if prints are not legible).

What you have sent is 4 copies of the same print - unless the officer took your prints 4 times which I doubt. So 1 set alone was enough. As regards delivery date, it is possible that they may just leave the courier with a guard or whatever arrangement FBI has.

What if I am not in the US? If I am in Central Asia, how many days would it approximately take for their report to reach me after they send? Any idea?

Alright, so I have just called them and they told me they are processing the applications received on the 24th of March. And my application that was received on that date still isn't processed :(
