Hey Guys,
Did any one applied for fasttrack FBI fingerprint report? if so is the outcome same as the regular process.
For regular process i guess the report will be on a FBI water mark symbol along with VOID VOID on the background everywhere!

If any one has any info regarding this please do update here.

Thanks.

By "fast track" do you mean using a Channeler?

Hi juluri,

I am in confusion whether this channeler's approved FBI reports are valid for non-US citizen / non GC Holders ? Finger prints agent mentioned its accepting by CIC, but no where mentioned in the CIC website.

Any idea ? Please share.

Thank you!!!

Per CICs website, channelers are only valid for US Citizens. I really don't think they could make it any clearer.

Option 2:

For U.S. citizens and permanent residents only: you may apply to an FBI-approved channeler (a third party that helps deliver your information to the FBI). They will collect your application form, fingerprints, any fee(s), and give them to the FBI.

I did it through FBI channelers. You just make an appointment and make your fingerprints at a UPS location and they give you the report that same day.
You need to be a US resident to do it through chanellers or you're out of luck and have to wait +3 months to get it directly from the FBI. The report from chanellers is exactly the same as the one from the FBI.

In CIC website, they mentioned as :

" Please note that FBI-approved channeler service is only available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. "

I am wondering how the FBI Channelers are giving clearance certificates to non-US citizens or non-residents ?

Is it common, but not accepted by CIC ?

It works because the FBI (and law enforcement in general) don't have access to information about your legal status in the US. As a result, you technically COULD get a FBI PCC through channelers as the FBI doesn't know (or care) that you aren't a US citizen. CIC won't accept channeler PCCs, though.

At the end of the day, the channeler gets their money, so they likely don't care what your status is. As long as you have a photo ID, they will order a report for you. The burden of making sure it is accepted by CIC falls on you, not the channeler.

This is what exactly i am wondering.
CIC would not be accepting if the report we get through channeler is different from the one that we do it in normal process.
If its exactly the same then how would CIC know what method we have opted to get the results?

Lot of consultancies are providing this fast track fbi reports for non us citizens / green card holders.

i am wondering if we can trust them!

You can't. They're lying.

Did you get hard copy or soft copy or both while applying through channeller?

I got a soft by email 5 minutes after completing the finger prints and a hard copy mailed 2 days later.
The letter is exactly the same as the one through the FBI as I did it 5 years ago for my citizenship.
That is true that CIC wouldn't know if you got PCC from the channeler or FBI. But the channeler would not give you the FBI report if you're not US resident as they VERIFY the information

So if they gave me a hard copy, but I am not a US resident, CIC will accept it?

It doesn't say how it was obtained. Direct letter for my name from U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation.
