FBI received should we wait for Buffalo to ask before sending it?

Hi All!!

We received my hubby's FBI clearance, should we wait for Buffalo to ask for it? Or should we send it along with our File number and client ID to Buffalo?

My experience - and I asked Buffalo what to do, they said to send it with the stickers.

I sent it, 9/23 Buffalo got the package.
10/18 they sent me a letter asking for IT.

I wrote them an email indicating that and they sent it to the processor. 2 weeks later I got decision made, and 2 days later I got my PPR.

I personally though it was more stressful making sure they still had it - and it was to get to my file properly - felt like it would have taken longer than the 2 weeks, to get PPR if I had waited till they asked for it, but have no clue.

If, if, ONLY if you have the file number, it's probably safe to send it - even if they haven't yet asked for it. The client ID # means nothing to them - that's for within Canada documentation.

Be sure when you send it - whether as a result of their asking, or you just going ahead - you send it via a courier and get a tracking number and delivery confirmation with signature! You can also fax them a copy and ask for instructions on how to submit the original - but don't hold your breath waiting for Buffalo to respond, they're not good at that and it might just increase your anxiety waiting for a response that never comes.

Eventually they will request it - and, as long as it's submitted while it's still no older than 3 months, you're okay. They aren't going to send you any special mailing envelope or anything, though, so your submission will still be by courier with tracking. Don't know if it makes a huge difference on them not losing it on the other end if it's actually been requested or not - it shouldn't considering they give 60 days for you to send it anyway. That's what's important - that you make sure they get it and that you get proof that they got it.

We had our MP office e-mail buffalo asking about the status of the application. They gave a file number. I really want to send them the FBI clearance - but I do not want it to get lost.

In qeue means "waiting for a officers to review it'? Hope we get there letter soon, maybe it will ask us to send the FBI clearance then??

This is what the e-mail said:

A file ( file #****) was recently created in our system for Mr ***. An acknowldegement letter with this reference number was sent to Mr *** on 26-OCT-2010, either to his email address, (******) or through regular mail service. If sent regular mail, it could take 2 weeks or more for Mr *** to receive letter

If Mr ** has recently made any changes to his address, please notifiy our office.

File is now waiting in qeue for officer's review.

Buffalo did not acknowledge the FBI certificate that we sent referencing all of the different numbers we had but that we didnt have a barcode for.

Once we had the barcode they were able to put two and two together.

If you dont have the stickers then my OPINION is to wait until you have the barcode to stick to the certicate/
