This is where I got it done. They take your fingerprints which will then need to be mailed to FBI along with a confirmation email that you received when you paid for the services on the FBI webpage.

Thanks for your response. Is there any timeline on how long it will take once you mailed from Toronto to US? Do you get the PCC through mail again or through Email?

Also is that ok to use any Channellers like Idemia in Toronto as mentioned in FBI site - https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/list-of-fbi-approved-channelers-for-departmental-order-submissions

I got it via email as well as a paper copy mailed to my address. It took two days for them to process my PCC.

Yes, you can use whichever service works for you best.

Thank You. I'm the primary applicant and she also stayed with me in US for 3.5 Years. She need to also get the PCC clearance from US as a dependent applicant?

If it helps, I mailed my fingerprint card (FD528 form) and confirmation email to FBI. They processed and sent me the result via email.

And for the second question? Who is she? Is she your wife, partner or child? If she is included in your application as a dependant and she is over 18 years old, then yes she also needs to get US PCC.

I got the fingerprint done here: https://www.fingerscan.ca/contact-us

It is a nice facility that they provide electronic scanning of fingerprints and printing them on the FD-285 form. No need to ink and roll, ink sucks!

I sent the FD-285 form through UPS. It took just one business day to arrive, and the FBI sent the certification in less than 1 business day after they received the mail.

Costs:
Fingerprinting: CAD 40 + tax
Mail through UPS: CAD 40
FBI IdHSC online registration: USD 18

Hope it helps.

Hi, Thanks for sharing the details. I have mine as well from FDI now. Here is my update.

Day-1 : I took fingerprint scan for myself and my spouse through a service provider in Toronto. Received the report in 15mins. Followed the instructions in Site and paid and Submitted the fees online as per the instructions - https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

Day-2: Mailed the email response from FDI & FD-258 from for Fingerprint scan from Toronto through FedEx.

Day-3: Mail received at WV center in US.

Day-4: I got the response on email that my report is ready in the site and was able to download it for both of us.

The service is straight forward and the turn around time is really quick.

I snail mailed my own. Do you know if they will snail mail it back or will they just email it? Or perhaps, both? I don't even understand why it's one of my required documents as I've never lived in the USA. I traveled there a lot in the past ten years (maybe 2-4 times per year), but always only for about 2-4 days. Puzzled.

Looks like the total accumulated date that you spent in the US is exceeding 180 days in the past 10 years.

Besides the PDF file in their online system, they will also send a postal mail to your address if you select to do so on the system.

Sorry for sneaking in here with a random question. Is the email-based confirmation received from the channeler an acceptable form of proof for PR application? Or can we take a color print on plain white paper, scan, and send it to IRCC? Due to COVID, the channeler informed to wait for at least 3-4 weeks for hard copy else burn pocket for $150 to expedite the process.
