Hey Simon291, Did you give an East Coast address? Quite good that you received the report within 3 working days. Mine was mailed on Friday (29th). When do you reckon I will receive it in Seattle address?

Most likely 5 days for you I think. I am in east coast.

Same.. Just called them and she said, they have just opened my mail on 8th October.

My e-APR AOR was January 20, 2016. Because I did not have my US FBI report yet, I wrote a letter of explanation and attached DHL proof of delivery, completed FBI application and copy of submitted fingerprint card.

In the (fairly detailed) letter, I mentioned that I had applied for FBI report 3 weeks before my ITA, and that given the current processing time, I may receive my FBI report towards the end of Feb, or mid-March, etc.

So far I have not received an 'additional document request' from CIC. This is a little puzzling seeing that most people would receive such a request within 1 week of their AOR.

Is this a bad sign or what?

By the way, I am required to submit 3 police certificates, and I was able to submit the other 2 at the time of the e-APR submission.

Hi guys. My PCC was received on Monday. Please find my timeline below:

Application delivered on 2nd October 2015
Credit Card Charged on 21st January 2016
PCC delivered on 1st February 2016

This is a lovely forum. Everybody has been very helpful. Many thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Congratulations! Thats great news! Sorry but am gonna bother you with a few questions:

How do you get to know the fingerprints have been accepted? My credit card was charged yesterday and I called the FBI, the lady said check back in a day or 2.

Was yours a domestic USPS delivery or International? Just trying to get an idea how long it will take for USPS to deliver to India. Thanks mate and good luck on your application!

FYI: October 13th, 2015 is the processing date.

I regularly get letters posted to me from US to India with USPS First class mail which FBI uses.
My US counterparts send me an e-mail when they post the package (It only includes letters but lot of it may be around 1kg).
It gets delivered to me in office and it always takes about 1 month with +- 2 days.
Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

CIC got internal access to FBI database. I wonder why they're putting us through all this if they can easily check all kinds of backgrounds anyway. At least for applicants who have long left the US. I guess they just want to torture us to make sure we appreciate Canadian PR .. lol

My guess is they don't want to do that for all applicants as it would be more work for them, especially when it is not known whether that application won't be cancelled for some other reason. So they're leaving it to the applicants to do the work so that the officers have more capacity to do other things. For some applicants at the later stage of the process they might run an FBI background check just to doublecheck in case the applicant looks suspicious according to some internal risk scoring system.

Thanks! :)

Agree with you dude...US with all its sophistication takes around 4 months to approve a work visa and couple of years to approve a PR..CIC is doing an excellent job.
