You would have asked that question to them during your last call. They would have answered. They are telling if it was accepted. You can call and ask again today or call them tomorrow to know.

Thanks for the reply! I could not call back yesterday but I got my FBI report delivered at the end of the day! I shipped it to a friends address in the US and he scanned me a copy right away, i will be submitting it as a CSE today.

Great. Congrats. So you can send through case specific enquiry itself which is enough for them?

I honestly don't know if this is the official way to do it. I have read other threads where people were requested to submit it by the VO reviewing their case, but I have also seen cases were applications were rejected (even with explanation letters) because they were missing the FBI PC. So I will go ahead and submit a CSE just in case.

Processing 20 April

It is strange, last Thursday also they were opening 22nd April when i checked...may be too many applications..

i asked how much time they take to process.. she said usually a week after opening applications..

Thanks for the update. Yes looks like some delay for 22nd Apr. Hopefully they hit my May 1st application date soon .

I heard that the local visa office is denying extension period to submit pcc but not denying applications. Are they rejecting applications due to not submitting pcc? May be they did not request for extension on time.

I think you can email your visa office to ask them if you can send the pcc. Because some others have done the same.

I read about the rejection in another forum, apparently he (like me) submitted all the documentation with the information he sent to the FBI requesting it and the proof of delivery but no metion of extension requests, how do you do that?
I am not sure what my visa office is, I read on the cic website that for my country is Mexico, but not sure. I will email them regardless, thank you for the tip!

I think that many applicants are sending to cic without pcc hence you are fine. I think that many of us in this thread did that.

If you have just applied to CIC then you can wait till the visa office contacts so that you dont send the report to wrong place and loose the valuable report(which is tough to get). We cant request for extension unless we know the visa office. Dont worry. They will contact you for pcc during their first review. Not sure if you have already received AOR but it will take at least few/some weeks after AOR to get response from visa office. pcc is not mandatory for cic hence visa office will ask for it soon.

And asking them doesnt hurt. So you already received EP as you need EP number correct to raise case specific enquiry?

yes possibly he did not send any proof that at least he applied for pcc and pcc will take more time to get it from fbi.

I would suggest wait until you receive any pcc request from VO. I have received FBI PCC request on June 23, though I submitted it in April. Now it's been more than 10 days since I submitted CSE with soft copy attchement but still haven't received any response.

When did you apply to FBI?
Currently they are processing Apr 20th date of applications. And it will take another 2-3 weeks from the processing date to receive report to other country.

1. Wait for 2-3 days and call FBI to know if the prints are accepted.
2. Your report will arrive in 2-3 weeks, guessing it will come this month end.
3. I think the others emailed the visa office to get extension. Sometimes they dont get hence few has raised case specific enquiry to cic directly and got extension which they forwarded to visa office. If this is not true then experts please correct me.
4. Wait till 2 weeks before your deadline to request for extension with all proof that you already applied to fbi and waiting for the report. I dont see rejection as people are getting 2 extensions and rarely 3 extensions too. So it should be fine.

I have applied to cic few weeks ago and yet to get EP. I am hoping that i would get the fbi report before cic/vo asks for it.

Today's update:
Opening 23 April
Processing 21 April

At least it moved past 22nd but we will have to see if there is same delay in processing them too.
