is it a toll free number? try using skype or magic jack smartphone apps..they can call toll free numbers in the US and Canada without any charge..

I have not found the toll free number but I am using google phone to call them.

You don't need SSN/ITIN to get the FBI PCC. My wife didn't have one, we left that field blank and still got the PCC.

I finally received MR, RPRF and PCC request yesterday, 3/20. Timeline on left.

I have an issue and want to know if anyone faced a similar issue. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. Below is my timeline for reference.

App filed - Oct'14
Got married - Dec'14
PER - Jan'15
Added spouse - Feb'15
MR/RPRF - Mar'15

My wife has been in US for less than 3 months on H4 visa and does not even have ITIN yet. Unfortunately CIC has asked for her FBI PCC even though she has been in the US for less than 6 months. I do realize that they can ask for it if they wish to....

Can I try to see if they can reconsider this decision?

If not, can I apply for FBI PCC without SSN/ITIN? The personal information form asks for SSN*.

Will they give me an extension until July as FBI takes nearly 4 months to process PCC.

Hello,

I have sent the finger print data on 28th December, 2014. When can I expect the reply?. What is the duration in general.

Thanks.
End to end processing will take flat 16 weeks.

@nskatcv: I checked with my local PD. They do not have the electronic version as the state is moving towards a centralized vendor for providing FP services. When I contacted the vendor, they said that they will only work on state PCC for me as I am not a citizen of the US. :'(

I wonder if I can print the FD-249 form on a regular A4 paper and send it to the FBI by taking additional prints myself. Sending multiple prints in an application will not help as FBI does not run all the prints in the set. They pick one, and if it fails, they stop the process.

This is by far the most frustrating part of the whole PR process till now.

... This time I managed to get them electronically done, and then printed out on FD-258 paper. Actually, local police departments do have this facility but they only let you use it if FBI has already rejected your ink prints. :o ...

Hello All,
Did anyone call FBI today Morning?
This wait is the most frustrating one not knowing if the fingerprints will even be accepted. 16 weeks of wait and no confirmation whatsoever.
Wake up FBI!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( :( :( :(

I received email from ndvo that they will not extend anymore after april end this morning I called FBI they told me that it will not provide before April end 16 weeks from Jan 7th. I am worried if this is end of application process to Canada. Just because of the FBI delays. Please suggest.

Well, Email to FBI and then formally receive their response on the timeline. This response email should be added to your email/CSE to NDVO for reconsidering.

Do you think NDVO will reconsider? My moral has gone down and it feels that I am really worried now.

Definitely consider, they normally would go after you to provide your documents. While you still have time...I would recommend to send the email that you will receive from FBI. You never know, it my take less than 16 weeks as time progresses.

All,

Just got down on the phone from FBI.
Currently opening package dated January 9th.
Mine and my wife's are entered in the system but credit card not charged yet.
Keeping fingers crossed for the finger print to be good and pass the check.
I am only stuck with these and if I had done FBI PCC earlier, probably would have got PPR email long back :(
Wish me luck and all the best for others waiting.

Thanks and regards
JR

Anyone who calls the FBI, could you please ask which date they are processing?

Please check my post one above yours. They are opening Jan 9th 2015 applications.

Jithesh69, please note that opening apps does not mean processing. The fact they are opening Jan 9th, does not indicate they are processing Jan 9th. They are inserting app in the system, charging the card and so on. Only a couple of weeks later they finalize processing and mail reports.

Yup, I know that and she said it will be 3 weeks atleast before 9th Jan apps are complete.
They are processing 18th Dec 2014 applications.
Sorry for the misinterpretation of statuses.
