The responses are as below -

1. No communication is sent by fbi once the report is mailed out. You can either call / email them to get a confirmation
2. No tracking number is associated with the report once it us mailed out
3. They ship it via USPS first class mail, which is then handed over to Indian post office for delivery. Turnaround time for this is around 3-4 weeks

My CC got charged today morning..
FBI app date 29/12/2014
CC charged. 18/03/2015

Hello everyone,

My request for FBI clearance reached Virginia on the 22nd of January. I just received my AOR from Colombo VO (although it was supposed to be NDVO). I have one more completed copy of the FBI fingerprint sheet (I got both done at the same time at the Mumbai Police Fingerprint Bureau). Would it be a good idea to send the second one as a separate request in case the first one is rejected? Or will that confuse things?

I look forward to hearing what all of you think.

Thank you for your help with this.

There is no need to send second one. Even i did mine at mumbai fingerprint bureau near HAJ house. They are very professional, they know how to do that. I have done 3 copies for only 500 Rs. ,If they ask for state clearance too.

My FBI fingerprint reached 2nd Feb,2015.

Hello, Please guide.

What would be reliable and economical way to get fingerprints done in India ?
We received our AOR on 18th Mar. Should we start the FBI PCC now?

Thanks

Yes you should sent it immediately as these days the FBI clearance is taking 14-16 weeks time and as per the fingerprints there are two ways of doing it .

1) download the application form FBI CJID website and do your fingerprints on them and sent it to FBI but there would be a risk of fingerprints getting rejected .

2) FBI has approved channellors in india who would take some fee but help you in getting proper fingerprints done and would sent your application .

Personally since you are spending so much on the whole process of immigration you should choose a channellor so that fingerprints come out proper otherwise If FBI rejects the fingerprints it would be again a 14 week cycle which would delay your immigration process .

Google about FBI channellors in a major metro or ur city I am sure you will find them

It's always a best practice to send multiple prints - you don't want to wait for a surprise after 4 months. Most of us have gone thru that ordeal and believe me it's gets very frustrating

Hi, first fingerprints ( I took them myself) were not accepted by FBI. they were sent on 17.10.2014. I got their refusal response late January 2015. WASTE OF TIME!

Second fingerprints set this time made by local police were sent on 02.02.2015. STILL WAITING!

PLZ DO NOT TAKE FINGERPRINTS YOURSELF. YOU PUT YOURSELF AT RISK OF BEING REFUSED BY FBI!

I would suggest, wait for the request.

Anyone knows the latest processing date for the FBI? The last time I checked with them was that they were opening the files received on December 30th.

Just called FBI-CJIS, they are opening packages received on 2nd, January.
