Congrats RS12 on getting the PER.
1. Your VO is decided based on the country you applied. Basically nationality
2. Yes a good time to apply for PCC. FBI is taking 14-16 weeks. So if US PCC is on card you should start.
3. Next step is file transfers to your VO. And then they send MR.
In the mean time VO will also start your background checks

Thanks a lot Future Canadian for your response.. Can you also please tell me how will I be informed about the VO?? Will I be getting an email or do I need to call the CIC Call Center?

FBI PCC is only valid for applicant and depended above 18 years. My niece is 7 yrs old and I believe he don't need US PCC??? Please correct me if I am wrong....

You are right. PCC is needed for adults

I've received a request for police certificate and medical from CIC-Ottawa. I'm currently residing in US in H1-B and my wife is in H4. I have social security number but my wife does not have SSN, she only has tax id number. But in FBI form, last digit of ssn is mandatory field. What can I fill there for my wife since she doesn't have SSN? Did anyone go through this similar situation? Please reply to this question.
Thank you.

Thank you.
Fill the last 4 digit of the tax id number. It can be used as a substitute where SSN is not available. Also, write a simple letter explaining about it. and include in the package you send to FBI.

Fbi application received: 27th nov
Report dispatched by fbi: 4th march

Not yet received at usa address..

I was on the same boat, I put NA even though she had ITIN Num.

ITIN number is similar to SSN but May not be the SAME, legally your wife is not supposed to have SSN since she is in H4 and they know that.

It got accepted, I am waiting for the results to be mailed.

Hi Seniors,

My visa to US was rejected abt 4 yrs back. I had no intention to hide my US visa rejection but as far as i remember there was no column in forms where we need to mention any rejection for visas.

I have two questions now:

1. How i should have informed them earlier.

2. How should i inform them now.

Please suggest.

Thanks
FSW October Applicant

Sent in 3rd set of prints today and have fingers crossed. ???
First set sent: 08/09
First set rejected: 10/28

Second set sent: 11/11
Wife's report accepted: 02/27
My sets rejected again

I have received my MR, RPRF and PCC and need to send it in a month. As FBI PCC is going to take another 16 weeks starting tomorrow, I will have to write to CPC for a 4-month extension.

Just got off the phone with FBI. Our second set of applications were received on 11/11 (first set was not legible by their system).
This time my wife's prints were accepted but mine have been rejected again!!

Timeline:
First set received: 08/09
Received letter for bad prints: 10/28
Second set received: 11/11
Wife's report mailed: 02/27
My prints considered faulty again

What irks me is that both times the prints were taken by a technician at the local PD and each set had 2 copies, each separately taken. Guess I have to start my 16 week process all over again. So frustrating ???

Anyone called FBI today?? Which date are they opening packages?? I called but it was too late.
