FBI is sufficient. People are talking about state PCC as back up if FBI PCC is delayed.

Thanks Johnson. +1 for your valuable feedback. As you said, even I am planning for the back up PCC from Wyoming which is obtainable in 10-15 days. What say? Should I go ahead or wait for few days? I dispatched my fingerprints/application yesterday only.

Thanks.

Officially they ask for 14-16 weeks but I lost my hope. When I submitted my app they were asking for 8 weeks. I am entering the 14th

Mine is 13 weeks getting over not even c.c charged & Another 4-5 weeks it may take to receive it in hand.

So calculate your self & get your extension accordingly.

Hope new System at some point will reduce this waiting time. Nothing in our hand.

Wondering why new system has made it worse, instead of speeding up applications.

Has anyone here with visa office "CPC-Ottawa" gotten a response back for requesting a FBI PCC extension? If so, please share your time line. I have submitted a request over 3 weeks ago and my deadline has already passed as well, but no response so far. I did get an automated reply though.

Guys!! Quick Update

Just called Up FBI, they are processing 6th Oct Application .
Mine is completed and they will mail it to me over the weekend and My Spouse's request is still processing in system and they are not in position to let me know if her fingerprints are accepted or not. ( They replied it should be completed by monday)

Looks like FBI is taking atleast 16 weeks to process + mail delivery time

Thanks....

They replied yesterday telling me that my request was received on Oct. 6th and that's it!! No further info!! BTW, +1 for the update!

I called them yesterday!!! to ask if they can provide me with a proof that I applied for FBI PCC.
The agent told me that they are opening application from November 4th,2014 as of yerterday.
Hope this helps

@ PunjabiInUSA
Was your wife's application received on the same day (Oct. 6th)?!
Did they inform you that they'll finish processing requests received on that day on Monday?!
Thanks in advance.

Guys, quick advice:

Just called FBI, and the fingerprints that I submitted on october 1st are rejected, so take precautions and send 3,4,5 sets of fingerprints because you dont want to hear that you need to submit again in 14 weeks :S:S, for people sending today that is until may :S:S...

... luckily I sent additional fingerprints sets on Oct 6th and those were fine and report mailed this morning 8)

By the way, my fingerprints were done at a US Police Station, so even that were taken by an expert, does not guarantee acceptance...

If that doesn't guarantee, then I don't know what does!!

Yep, at least the strategy of sending a request with multiple fingerprints and then after a week submitting a separate request with multiple fingerprints seems the most suitable one to minimize the risk of rejection and begin the process from zero after 15 weeks of initial submission

Hope my experience helps other people on the same journey!
