Seniors kindly help me..

FBI - PCC I have downloaded FD-258.. for my wife and myself..

What are the columns that I have to fill and not leave blank
other than personal details like name, dob, color, height weight, ssn, reason for this request,

I could not find any proper place to do the fingerprinting except local pd in new york. but local police officer who is doing this is not giving me any time. I dont know what to do now. I will be very late if things become like this. I called to some other agencies they asked me some ORI number without that they cant do it .

I had sent in my FBI PCC application on August 9th. I received a letter from them yesterday (November 1st) with the request for new fingerprint cards as the ones that were sent were not 'characteristic'. Just wanted the forum members to know that August 9th has definitely been processed.

As for me, now I will have to get new fingerprints done and start the process all over again. Surprising, since I got my fingerprints taken at my local PD in US.

I'm sorry FSW_Applicant. This is precisely going to be my problem. I too took the fingerprints at a local PD, and sent it. Later I realized that there was a different near by town that had a much better system i.e. the results were much more clearer. If you are applying again, try to send fingerprints from more than one town (if you can travel) That way if one system is a bit bad, then you can benefit from the other. Usually larger towns or cities have more advanced systems.

Thank you pharm for sharing this information. This is good news :D - at least they are moving now. (I'm sorry I cannot give you the +1, due to the 168 hour limit)

ll14 - If you have a car and can travel, please go to a different town. There is no restriction that you should be living in a particular area for the local PD to do your finger printing. Usually medium sized towns are the best for this job. Larger cities may be crowded, and smaller towns may have older systems.

Where are you doing this from? If you are doing it from the US, the fingerprint tech at the local PD would help you.
Besides the details you mentioned the following are required: Your address, place of birth, citizenship
I left the employer address blank.
I am not sure what to put in for the reason for finger printing. The first time I simply put FBI, the second time I put in criminal background check.

By the way, normally you need to send in the fingerprint card - not just print it on a piece of paper and send it in. Make all efforts you can to get the card, otherwise you may get rejected.

He can send on a print out, its clearly mentioned on FBI Website. " The FBI will accept FD-258 fingerprint cards on standard white paper stock. " and the link to download and print FD-258 is given.

If you order cards directly from FBI, then they will give ORI number on the card itself.

We are already close to deadline. What will happen if fingerprints got rejected? Would CIC give us extension in case FP's are rejected? It will be almost 12 weeks extension we are talking about here. Pls. suggest.

I am in the same boat as you are. I have already gotten extension from NDVO from 13th Nov to 30th Dec.
But if fingerprints get rejected, then not sure what to do. let's hope that doesn't happen or may be FBI speed will improve.

I have anyways mailed NDVO my FBI PCC from last year and hoping they accept it. let's see.

Will keep all posted.

I just pray that fingerprints get accepted. That's the only thing pending on my case and the entire process of getting this FBI PCC is a showstopper.

Thank you o_o. But don't I have to live or work in that county in order to be able to get my FP done from there?

Hi guys,

This is regarding FBI fingerprinting process...
Where does it say that FP has to be done by police officials?
This is what written on FBI site "If possible, have your fingerprints taken by a fingerprinting technician. This service may be available at a law enforcement agency."
So, is it okay if we buy a stamp pad and do it ourself?? (of course, with care and making sure it is clear and legible according to the guidelines provided)

Has anybody done that?
