Hi Sunil55,

May I ask how long did you wait for an extension approved? I sent a request for an extension last Thursday yet I haven't gotten CIC's response.

Thanks!

I would like to share my experience.

My deadline for sending PCC is March 30, and I requested for an extension on March 21 via CSE.

I got CIC's response on April 5.
"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We have forwarded the information you provided to the responsible office. They will contact you only if they require further information."

Then I got an extension approved on April 14.
"You have a 60 day extension from the date of this email to provide the required documentation."

I already submitted my PCC on April 10 via CSE too, and no response until now.

I'm trying to apply for FBI PCC from Singapore. I see that I need to get the prints taken locally and attach them to the application form and corier the same to USA.

Now my question is, how do I get the prints taken, especially in Singapore? Is there a firm that does this or I can simply take ink prints myself on the fingerprint form directly?
Get it done by a professional.

I concur. If available, ask to use high quality inkless pad (electronic printers, if available, are even better).

I submitted mine via CSE on April 1, received a response (besides the auto-response) that it's been attached to my application on April 14. Also uploaded the report via MyCIC (the same day my request for 2nd extension was approved). No other updates to my application since then.

While I'm here, a quick question to all. I'm planning to visit the U.S. (I no longer reside there) in the next couple of months. I'm assuming that I won't have to report this "vacation" to CIC. I'm also assuming that I won't have to get an updated FBI PCC (unless, of course, my eAPR gets rejected and I have to re-apply). Does this sound right to you guys? Am I missing something?

Best wishes to all.

Dear Seniors

I got AOR on 17/042016
Scheduled 4 request on 18/04/2016
Upload schedule 4 on 19/04/2016

But i did not receive the request for FBI PCC, so i would like to know that after getting the AOR with in how many days i will get the FBI PCC REUIRED REQUEST?

or should i contact CSE? But how to contact them through email?

Thanks in advance....

Thank you for sharing. May I ask one quick question? While you got their approval on extension, did you send the PCC via your CIC profile also? I know that you sent it via CSE already.

First, did you upload a LOE with your eAPR asking for extension to upload the FBI PCC? If you didn't, then do raise a CSE right away with that request.

But if you did upload such LOE with your eAPR, then I say wait for them to respond. It's just been 2 days since AOR. No worries yet. Best wishes to you.

While you wait for i3eyes's response, here's what I did (similar scenario, re-posting from previous page) -

I submitted mine via CSE on April 1, received a response (besides the auto-response) that it's been attached to my application on April 14. Also uploaded the report via MyCIC on April 5 (the same day my request for 2nd extension was approved). No other updates to my application since then.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks, so it is normal that it takes them several days to respond my extension request. I got my pcc right after I sent them extension request. I anxiously wait for them to re-open my CIC profile Uploading window so that I am able to upload the report to my profile.

Yes, I sent my 2nd extension request via MyCIC on March 21, got a response on April 5. Based on this forum, it may take anywhere from 2-4 weeks for CIC to respond.

Once you have submitted your application, you don't need to report vacations to CIC. And yes you only need a new PCC if you have to apply again later after your vacation. But really in my opinion, it shouldn't be like that, you only went for a vacation not live there. I wonder if CIC wants us to put our lives on hold till we get PR? Anywayz...enjoy your vacation and just hope for the best!

It seems slow...I hope that they are reviewing our profile while waiting for PCC....

I appreciate the response, mamaJM, thanks. I and my wife have decided that this is it. We're not going to re-do our FBI PCC anymore. So if our app gets rejected and (even with our advancing age) we have enough points to get ITA the next time around, then we're just sending the old ones. The ball's in IRCC's court 8)

Best wishes to you.

The way I think about it, there's two possibilities. One, they've done most of the reviewing by now (this is the best case scenario, I grant that). Two, the agent just tossed everything off to the future (meaning, set up an alarm for a future date with options to hit the snooze button) as soon as s/he saw no FBI PCC on file.

I think the most likely scenario is the former version. But I'm also sure there are at least a few cases (if not many cases) where much of the reviewing have been put on hold until R10 can be done (which can't be finished until FBI PCC is on file).

I hope they indeed are reviewing at least our files :D. I wish you all the best.

I'm paper based pnp pr applicant, so I only sent it via CSE.
