FBI live scan form?

Hi,
Since I heard FBI background check takes for ever I decided to start the process early. Today I went to police station with fingerprint cards, however the technician there only take my finger print with Ink while I was looking for Live scan. She told me there is a special form for live scan which is different from the fingerprint card. I can't find any other form on FBI web site, Anyone knows anything about this other form?

Havent heard of any live form.

Taking fingeprints using ink on a FBI paper sheet is the right way for Non US Permanent residents, Citizens.

I did the same and got FBI clearance.

Live scan can be done in police stations in US otherwise rolled ink on fingerprint card is the way to do it.
