Hey everyone,
On September 13, 2017 I received an e-mail asking for my FBI Identity Check and it was due 3 months from the time of the letter which would be December 13, 2017. The processing times at this time are already making me worried that I won't be able to make the deadline so I sent them a message through my online account asking if I could have an extension. I have not heard anything back from that message which I sent last week.
While they were waiting for my document, they said they wouldn't process my application till I give them the document but if I don't by the deadline they will process the application without it. On the Application details on my account, there was a section called, "Review of additional documents" and it said that they were waiting for me to give them a document. I checked my account today and now it says, "We do not need additional documents" which confuses me because it hasn't been the 90 days that the letter had stated. And, on the same page, I clicked on View Submitted Application, and it says that the FBI Clearance was required by October 13, 2017 and now it's been overdue. I don't know if their system got glitched out or something but I don't know what to do about this.
I live in America so I can't call them because Canada Immigration only accepts calls from Canada and my spouse that lives in Canada has work Monday - Friday and is working around 10-12 hours a day and doesn't have the time to wait 45 minutes- 60 minutes on hold.
Recap:
This is copied directly from the email I have, "This must be received at this office by: 2017/12/13"
Update: I JUST got an e-mail from immigration saying,
"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We appreciate you taking the time to inform us that you are taking the necessary steps in order to obtain the FBI clearance that is required for your application.
The information you provided was forwarded to the responsible office.
We invite you to provide the document as soon as possible in order to ensure the process of your application continues as smoothly as possible"

Recap:
- Received a letter on September 13, 2017 requesting a FBI Identity Check and it's due 90 days from the date of this letter.
- Through my online account, the document is due by October 13, 2017 which doesn't make any sense because the letter itself says it wouldn't be due to December 13, 2017.
- Status changed from, "Waiting for requested documents before we continue your application." to, "We do not need additional documents."
