FBI Clearance

I know their website states 8-10 weeks for receiving the FBI clearance. I've heard some people have recieved it sooner though, and was just curious if anyone else on here has obtained it sooner than expected?

Unfortunately neither, no. My husband just worked in the US for more than 6 months- so has been asked for the clearance. We've sent off the request, and it should arrive within 3 days. We're just concerned because we're required to upload the results in GCkey account by July 2nd.

You will probably need to ask for an extension to provide the certificate - make sure you have proof you submitted the request just in case you need to provide that. That doesn't seem right. Current processing time is currently 8-10 weeks. Have you called to check the status? If you're a US citizen or permanent resident you can go through a channeler instead... much quicker.

Thank you for this. I'm not exactly sure what to say though when I call them

Uodate: I called them and they said they mailed the results to me last Friday so they should be coming soon. Thank you for the number!
