Hi Parry1901 - not sure but check this link and maybe others who applied from outside US can give input. But I doubt it is any different than for those who applied within US.

you can also find their email in the FAQ ... For other questions related to this process click here.

Hi Simon123, thanks and good luck-hopefully you'll get yours soon!

It should mean what it says ---in process. Don't worry, you'll get it!!! :)
More update: I received it today. It is within 8 weeks for me.

Well, that I know :) but do they actually tell you what stage it is in? I am worrid about my fingerprints again...
I was trying to ask him that my fingerprints are read by there system now.. but he didnt understand

I see what you meant.. When I called, they told me the process has been completed and it will be mailed out.
But maybe they are processing it and it is in the queue, on what stage in the processing? who knows what their process may be...so just take it one step at a time. It is in process but may not be completed yet.
Maybe if you call again tomorrow or Monday, they will tell you if it is completed and ready to be mailed out.

Yes sure,

I will definately call them tomorrow and monday .. I am after them since NOv 2009.. kind of frustrated now!

I can feel your pain, my friend.. it can be frustating.... Good luck

Heyy guys

Looks like this is the hardest part.

I just sent in my papers yesterday to the FBI,
Could not find a fingerprint expert here in Delhi, so followed the instructions did it my self, made 3 sets of fingerprints.

PLS advise is this gonna work. if not then even if I get a fingerprint expert how do I get the new set of fingerprints added to the same application

Also the email address given on the FBI site is not working , anyone know another email address.

thnx.

I have read that many other members here successfully found a place in Delhi for fingerprinting, did you do some SEARCH on that topic?
It is best to download the form from the FBI website - print it in color, on heavy stock card or heavy bond paper.
You can do it yourself but it is better to be done by the agency or people who specialize in doing so, that way you don't waste time for mistake. I would strongly suggest not doing it by yourself. If you are unsure wheter your FP can be read correctly by FBI, you can send two application in two separate envelope and fee enclosed.
You don't or can't add set of FP to the same application, you need to send a fresh application with $18 fee each.

The FBI process is so long and painful that you cannot afford to have a case of rejected fingerprints.
Its better you do everything perfectly from ure end. I dunno if the self taken fingerprints will work , but its better if u dont take a chance.
Google / Search the site for some fingerprinting agency in Delhi or post this question separately as a new thread . Someone might be able to help !

Best of luck

Heyy Thnx guys.

I wrote to the Fbi to and they said they will accept it if the prints are clear, but better to get it done by a pro.

So yeh I guess will get it done from a proper place and send it again , makes more sense.

any idea about profession fingure printing agency in dubai - uae

People here is some good news!!!!

I am not sure if my case is one off or if FBI office is picking up the pace....

My papers reached FBI on Feb 19th and I just got back my clearance certificate ;D THAT'S JUST 6 WEEKS

Just to give you some details
- I had my fingerprints done by professionals
- I paid through money order
- I have a social security number

That's cheerful news indeed!
Congrats and I hope it means things are picking up.
