I just called FBI and found that the fingerprints are not readable. I submitted it the 2nd time and send 3 cards, they were not able to read any of them! I tried getting the fingerprints on the card myself and also at an agency. None of them worked. It is so frustrating...

HI SB,

I sent my FBI print in last week of April. CC charged but still waiting for the result

I sent my finger prints in May to FBI, it reached on May 24th. My credit card was charged on June 28th.

Does it mean that my prints were fine? Let me know.

No.

My credit card was charged after 10 weeks processing time. Several weeks later I recieved a letter from the FBI stating that my fingerprints were un-readable. :( This alone has set me back 7 (seven) months, waiting just for the FBI security clearance so that I can file the PR papers....

Hopefully though that will not be the case with yours.

guys,

I applied for mine in first week of may and got back in third week on june.. about 1 week after cc charge..

Hi, I received an email from FBI that they are not accepting international credit card. My card is Citibank Visa card (Premier Miles) that was issued to me in the Philippines.

Kindly confirm if this is your case as well?

Thanks in advance!

I have applied for PCC during the last week of May, and my CC was charged last week. It was an American Express card issued in India.
Hope it helps.

I got my FBI report on 12 July. I had used Amex - US Issued Card.

Members please help...

For those of you who used to live in US and no longer reside there, please help me with my query:

I was in US for about 9 years and now i'm back to Kuwait. How do I now get a PCC from US? I see in the instructions, it says to get a fingerprint card. And, on the instructions page for Kuwait, it says to get a request from the Canadian Embassy. How does this process work? Do I have to get a fingerprint card made or we can get our fingerprints done on the" standard fingerprint form (FD-258)". http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/pdf/fpcardb.pdf
Please advice if any of you have sent requests to FBI from outside US. What all documents did you send in? Whatare the different steps involved in this? WHere do I start from?

Thanks

For the FBI, you can make the request yourself (no need for letter of request from the embassy). The instructions are available at http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm.

While you can take the prints yourself, I would recommend you have them professionally taken to minimize the chances of rejection - you can read stories on this forum.

I have a question regarding FBI clearance. I visited the United States sometime in 2003, got an FBI clearance around 2004. I haven't been to the US after that. Is my 2004 FBI clearance still valid today?
