FBI clearance, how to get fingerprints?

I am looking for a finger print service in bangalore. Private consultants are way too expensive, one quoted a rate of Rs 18500.
Would it be advisable to do the finer prints myself? If not any service recommendations?

Did you try your local police station?

This is what I did. Contacted the local finger printing bureau (govt. agency). Paid Rs.1000/- at govt. treasury and then went back to the finger printing office and got it done...Although I didnt do it in Bangalore, it is certainly worth a try.

Someone posted earlier that Bangalore State Forensic Bureau does not do it anymore. They recommended to go with the local police station.
