Sorry for all the questions, but this should clear it up.

I am currently in Canada and I am planning on getting my Police Cert in the distant future. I was looking at myfbireport, but they only ship within the US, as well do all the other channelers and the FBI itself. I was curious, I was reading online and found many people getting their police certificate delivered in there name, but to a family member with which they have lived with. Is this ok, and is it ok if they forward it to me? I also see they have them delivered to mail offices for holding, then have it forwarded. Is this ok? Thanks

I am also curious if this. My wife has a valid pcc until may and her 12 months is on March 29 so I should be good. Just curious incase something happens and she needs to get a new one. I really don’t want to do another boarder crossing until landing

How did you end up getting your first FBI report?

We get new ones every time we go to the USA from fieldprint, just incase. We have used myfbireport as well, they were fine

Your wife's PCC won't expire. Assuming she was still in the US when she got it, PCC's are required to be dated within 6 months of applying. There is no expiry

I thought they expired after 6 months. She’s been in Canada since she got her last one. I know I have atleast read of people being asked to provide a new one. We just get them every few months, just incase. Better safe than sorry, for the 50$ it costs.

She has been back to the USA since the time we submitted the pcc with her schedule a, if that makes a difference

Yeah I'm just curious if we can get the FBI report mailed from the channeler in my name to my old residence where my family resided, then have them forward it to me in Canada.

I don’t think that should be an issue

Hi

1. Note the following from IRCC

Option 2:
For U.S. citizens and permanent residents only:
you may apply to an FBI-approved channeler (a third party that helps deliver your information to the FBI). They will collect your application form, fingerprints, any fee(s), and give them to the FBI.

Once the FBI completes their background check, they will send the results to the channeler. The channeler will then give you your record check letter.

Please include the FBI letter with your application, and send us the complete package.

Hi PMM,

Yes, I understand I am able to get a FBI channeler to do my request. I was just curious since I am not in America, and I am in Canada, can I get my FBI background check mailed to my family at my old address with my name on it and have it FWD to me?

From what I have read a channeler will not send your results to anyone else other than an attorney, whom you must specify in your request. Anyone have experience otherwise? I'm not in a position for a day trip across the border, and don't have the time for what it seem like the standard FBI processing time is.
