FBI Background Clearance check taking longer than the given 90 days

So, I got my request for medicals and all and I am still waiting for my FBI clearance. I called and they said it should take 8-9 weeks, putting me a few days over the 90 day period I was given to submit everything. Should I send a letter to the Buffalo Immigration office??? or should I just wait/there is nothing to do about it???

Hi there, where did you send your request from? I had requested my FBI record as well and was told the same thing but received it at the 6 weeks mark. I had included an overnight return Fedex shipment slip. I would email the Buffalo office and inform them of the situation and see what they say (they're pretty good at responding to emails). I'd make sure to call the FBI customer service line as well after the 5th week and see if they have more information on when it'll be mailed out (1st time i called i got no information, 2nd time i was told it was being processed and 3rd time they actually gave me a specific date for completion). Thanks for that one!! I sent my request from Canada because I am working here. They took 4 weeks to process the credit card payment. When I called, they told me it usually takes 8-9 weeks. They gave me no further information. I will do as you said. Thanks again

That's exactly what happened with mine. Credit card was debited after four weeks and it took another week for me to receive the report (it was actually a little less than 6 weeks) but it would have taken longer to get to me if it was through snail mail. You should be receiving it soon. Good luck in your endeavors!

Appreciate that!! thanks, your words definitely give me some sort of relief...did you send the medicals yourself or did your doctor sent them?? I took the medicals and the doctor sent them, which was odd..he didnt sent them directly to the Buffalo office, he sent them through ottawa..according to him, Ottawa forwards them to the according office.. thanks again

i submitted fbi request on jan 3 and i got fbi pcc on feb 15th in my mail box

Medicals are always sent directly by doctor's office.
