When you receive your FBi background check, can you open it?

Or do you have to send it with your application in the same envelope, sealed?

You can open it. :)

I had a misdimeanor that was suppose to be dismissed 12 years ago. Other than this one incident I've never had any problems with the law. During one of my visits to Canada to meet my boyfriend there was a flag, and the customs officer took away my US PR card and I was told that as a criminal record had showed up. He said there would be case to go to court for either removal proceedings or to get back my PR card. (P.S. I'm a PR of the US not a citizen) I was then issued a temporary PR card, valid for one year.
I'm confident that since I've been in the US for 20+ years and this is a misdeanor I won't be be removed from the US. My question, is will this temporary PR card that is only valid for one year be OK to use for the processing at the Buffalo office? My court date in the US is in July.

Any thoughts or suggestions on what I can do would be helfpul.
