Fathers surname not in my brothers passport.. ll it be a problem for proof of relationship?

Hi all,

I want towubmit proof of relationship for my EE profile, but in my brothers passport parents surname is not there while in my passport surnames are mentioned even though first n middle name are the same.

Will it be a problem or do i need to provide any affidavit along with this or

IF your brother a Canadian Citizen? If possible, before submitting application, get name of parents corrected in either of your passports.. Alternatively, better option is to arrange Birth Certificates of both of you if it has same parent name

My brother is Canadian PR not citizen and you know how difficult it is to get name changed on passport in India. even the birth certificates have same name. On mine surname is there and on his surname is not there.

Is it possible to submit affidavit from my parents side stating that both names belong to one person?

After going everything online, actually name change has become easier for passports in India..

Secondly, affidavit may not be the approved document for this case and hence subject to discretion of Visa offer who will process your case... IF changing details on passport or birth certificate is impossible, you can attach affidavit by your father mentioning your names with your passport and PR card details that both these are his son.. But just in case, visa officer doesn't approve this, your CRS score will fall, ITA will become invalid and you will have to re-submit a fresh EE application..

It may be easy to change name in passport but it will take time and i do not know how much and i have only 30 days left to upload all my documents.

One thing more i would like to ask... i completed my masters from Canada in dec 2018 and received invitation in Jan 2019. My convocation is due in June 2019 so i don't have Masters degree certificate even though i have graduation letter and transcripts.

ll graduation letter work?
