Fathers name spelling different

Hi I am a PR in Canada and wants to invite my father on visitor visa but my father name on my passport has a different spelling but phonetically same than what is there in my passport by just one alphabet .Let me know if I can attach an affidavit along with LOE to support this case .Looking forward for a reply Thank you!

Does it have to be the same name?

It’s for visitor visa for my father his passport mentions the name as Hamid and in my passport it is hameed what to do in this case to apply for his visitor visa?
