Heylo everyone,

I hope someone can help me out here. Im an Indian citizen married to a Canadian. I have a spousal sponsorship going, but I intend to study further once I land.

However, my main concern is that my father's name is spelled incorrectly on my Marksheets and my Degree. Instead of 'WASITH', it is 'WARITH'. Will this be considered a major issue once I apply to universities in Canada? What are the repurcussions Im looking at if this is not corrected. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks! :)

In my view U should go to the University or Institute which issued the certificates with ur 10th,12th educational certificates and other documents on which ur father name is correctly printed and request them to correct them accordingly . I am sure they will guide u through the required process. All the best for this and also Ur married Life.

My father's name is spelled "hashan" in some of his documents while in others it is "hasan" and it has not been of any problem.

Then again, if you get the chance to correct the mistake, you can do it. Always better to be safe than sorry.
