There are many Visa Offices around the world with different processing times. Although based on the IRCC website, most of the VOs have an obligation to finish the processing within 12 months (depending on the complexity of the file), some VOs are more efficient. What are some of the VOs with the fastest processing times? Please list them accordingly based on your experience and knowledge.

Do you really believe some VO's are faster. I think it's all dependent on the case officer and how he rates the file to be complex or not. The VO's that might be faster could only mean there are less files passing through that office say my VO processing for various countries in West Africa but have a friend whose file was sent there from Eastern Africa. And is not like ours is faster. Due to covide IRCC processing is not accurate one bit and would be difficult to belive any VO is actually fast.

In short the processing time is dependent on the visa officer in CPC who opens and closes the file. If he satisfied, can finish it in 3 to 4 months or rather would hold it till he/she is satisfied or reaches final deadline. Apparently the local visa offices do not even make the final decision rather the officer in the Canada who does the final review(one who opened the file before transfer to local visa office), this person the key.

This info js from my own analysis from relevant threads on this website. please ignore if doesn't make sense. I just don't think there is any faster VO unless one can give a list with reference and evn that is cos the case officer prioritised that file.

I think VOs have their own pace and some have slightly different process according to the applicant's country.
Regardless, you do not have a choice on which VO to process your application.

Yes, I believe some VOs could be more efficient and faster, but of course, depending on the complexity of the cases as I mentioned. For example, I can see some New Delhi, Warsaw VO applicants from July who applied later in the month already got their medical whereas Singapore VO applicants are still waiting for their Medical even though they applied earlier. Also, a Rome VO applicant from July already got their Pre-arrival. I understand I don't have a choice, neither am I complaining. I just wanted to create this thread because a lot of people have the same question as me and it would help them to find answers.

There are VO based threads and you can go in there to see each VO's trend.

You are definitely right but remember that the case processing officers are in Canada and most updates are done by them even though contacts are made by the local visa office. All this can be confirmed from gcms notes.

Once an update is made from local visa office, case officer approves and updates it. So you are only implying that they do prioritise based on the applicants location. Eg. My file has been in final review since July wch is done by the officer in Canada right. Its been 3 months heading to 4 months. Whereas there are people who have completed their files in 4 to 6 months in this same visa office I am using.

You might say its complicated but note their email said its in queue(3 months plus) to be finalised whilst it has exceeded a year. And there are people of processed files less than a year. Telling me that its dependent on the officer on the file and not necessarily the visa office. Hence as much as any office can be fast they as well can be slow.

Creating this thread is very good because some others might get to see how things really work and prolly understand why some files take longer. I myself had this question in mind but after waiting over 3 months for js my file to be finalized, realised my local office had done their part awaiting the final go ahead. I can go ahead and give you so many examples from colleagues where you would get my point. Am sure other contributions will be made here to clear more insights from others views and knowledge.

And also remember it all comes back to the case officer as he is the one who opens and requests for further investigation and actions taken by the VO. The key to whether a file is complex(I THINK). The Visa Office is to do eligibility of the applicant. But extra actions that make it take long are on requests or suggested by the Processing Center.
