Can anyone help me if I have lmia for manager is that important for me 6 each band in IELTS?

Who needs an ECA?

If you have a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate, you do not need to get an ECA.

You will need to get an ECA for your foreign degree, diploma or certificate if:
a.you want to be considered for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) under Express Entry
•you are a principal applicant, and
•you got your education outside Canada, or

b.you are an Express Entry candidate (or their spouse or common-law partner coming with them to Canada) being considered for the Federal Skilled Trades Program or the Canadian Experience Class, and you want points for your foreign education.

[GUYS FROM THE ABOVE STATEMENT mentioned on the CIC website. It is very clear that for FSWP you do not need to get your spouse ECA.
I am not for FSWT or CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS. I am for FSWP so I should NOT be worried about it. No use of getting it done even for additional points because it is not mentioned that you get some additional points in you get it done unless you are FSWT or Canadian Experience Class applicants.]

Hi Fellows,
I need to know to how do you make 400 points in Express Entry. My docs are all ready to be sent. IELTS done, ECA Done, Experience Letters Done. Everything is done.
my Score is 338. Any hope? How do I increase my points upto 400??? Who are the people with 400 Score? What qualifications they have???
I DON'T UNDERSTAND!

Kindly let me know how to get PNP (Provincial Nominee Program). I guess that is the only option. Getting a Job in Canada while sitting abroad is IMPOSSIBLE. Even if you get a Job who will wait for 6 months to get you on board?

In my passport (issued in India), my

Surname is blank and
Given name is FARZAN AHMED.

When I am trying to fill express entry profile. it is not letting me leave the surname column blank.


1. I found the instructions from CIC FAQ where there is no surname listed on the passport :-
"What do you mean by surname?

Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your “last name.” If your name is spelled differently on your official documents, please write your name as shown in your passport. When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document or any letters you got from the visa office or case processing centre where you sent your application (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.

If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the given name field."

After reading the CIC instructions I put "Not Applicable" in surname column but then system update my name as "Farzan Ahmed Not Applicable" and showing everywhere the same name as told above.

Now I dont understand what to do....if I leave it blank then it shows error as mandatory column...., Write not applicable in that field, it will show up as "FARZAN AHMED NOT APPLICABLE" in a given name.

WILL CIC ACCEPT IT LIKE THIS ????

From what I understand, you're following their instructions exactly and the results are surprising and comedic. Recommend that you ignore the weird results and just fill up the rest of your profile.

You can highlight this in a letter of explanation and I'm certain any VO worth his qualifications and experience would know that you Surname couldn't possibly be 'Not Applicable'.

No harm getting in now and updating the information after you get the fresh result.

And can I update my online application even after submission?

Yes. You can make edits till you get an ITA.

I am NEW ZEALAND resident , does it make any difference to the selection process.

No difference based on nationality in selection process under EE.

you should create EE profile right now because no one can guess what would be the lowest score to get ITA in next draw

you can change your online profile anytime until you get ITA.
I am NEW ZEALAND resident , does it make any difference to the selection process.
it will not influence in your process because immigrant are also coming from USA, UK, Europe.

I was working in automobile(car) dealership as mechanic for 2 years after that i did ITI(mechanic trade certificate)..now if i apply for EE my noc would be 7321 which is FST programme....i want to ask will cic accept wrk experience which is before my qualification or not?
Graduation-2011(arts)(B.A.) (INDIA)
Wrk experience as mechanic- 2011 to 2013
ITI-2013 to 2015...
Do i need to get experience again? Or this previous wrk exp. Would be fine..??

Hi,

I am applying for Express entry, did my education SSC(Secondary School Certificate) & HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) from School and Colleges in Mumbai

However the certificate obtained mentions, "Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education , Pune"

Do I need to mention University of Mumbai or the above?

I am working on a contract in Canada till September 2016. I got a reference letter from my employer in September 2015, which stated 1 year of wok experience and says that I started working September 2014 and my contract is valid until September 2016. It also states my duties and that I am currently working for the company. So I have a question.
1. If I change my job and cancel my contract and move to another job, should I get a new reference letter stating that I was previously employed by the company and I am not working anymore.(My reference letter already shows 1 year of work experience
2. Do I as well need to provide the new job offer for another company on Express entry.
