My understanding is that they are generally done at the same time. The security check is not done by CIC, it is done by CSIS, but in general it seems they order the security check at the same time they request your medicals, although they can wait until after your medicals are back. Of course, procedure will depend upon the visa office's practice.

What is CSIS? What if we fail to provide PCC from US? Will CIC based on CSIS information or they really need PCC from US? Thanks.

If you fail to provide a PCC from the US, normally they would refuse your application for failure to comply with IRPA requirements. This applies even though CSIS has full access to US records and files - you are obligated under the rules to provide that necessary information.

Hi.Please give your opinion or advice.If your work permit ran out and you don't have a LMO,(im on visitor visa).What do you think will happen at PPR decision.I'm done with my medicals in Feb 2012 and they requested nothing except PCC.Is it good buy for me or will they allow PPR.I have a letter for permanent job offer.Please this is killing me! I have relatives in Canada and even if you take the 10 points for permanent job offer from my score , i still have 67 points.
Plus,if they cancel my job offer will they ask me the $1000 000000 landing fund?
My file was transferred to Ottawa after Buffalo closed.M1 2010 file

I applied under Skilled Category in March 2012 and got the mail of acceptance of my application in the same month. In mid july, an officer called at my previous employer's and as per the answering guy, he did not look quite satisfied.. The guy who answered the inquiry was a bit weak in English and just could not understand exactly what was asked. I am worried as all my documents are ok and authentic there is not even a 0.1% chance of them being untrue. I am worried as there has been no call to me for inquiry if they were unsatisfied as per the guy who answered them.. It has been almost 25 days now, no medical request and no further inquiry to any other place that i have worked nor the bank, its all very tense .... do u guys have any idea about this situation ?

Some of the people here said, it is too soon for any kinda inquiry. What do u have to say about this. ? It is such a distress

I got medical examined on 29th June, and sent (via courier) London Visa office my updated police certificate and schedule A (back ground declaration) form dated June 30, 2012.

In my all initial forms (2009) and updated forms (June 2012) my employer remains same but on 1st July (Next Day after submitting Schedule A and police certificate) I resigned and joined another company same day.

Do I need to update Visa office regarding my new job or remain quite?

Please, advise.

Hi everyone,
My name's Sushant, from India. I am trying to immigrate to Canada for work purposes and to get permanent residentship but I'm quite unoblivious of the job scenario over there. I'm from the banking field and I'm working here in Mumbai, India for a well known private sector bank. I'm a team leader handling a team of 5 looking after the bank's Corporate Internet Banking portal. The profile is partially process related and partially system testing oriented. Prior to this, I was working for a internationally wellknown Fortune 500 company for a period of 4 yrs 10 months for the credit cards LOB as a Portfolio Risk Analyst here in India itself

I was wondering if people like me with the above described profile have enough job opportunities in Canada to look forward to work and migrate there for real.

I have made up my mind to make it here in Canada no matter what..I would not shy away to do any kind of work but I still need to know if my desired profile or anything close to that is available in the Canandian job market. It would be of great help to me if anyone could provide the contact email ids of Job consultants or agencies in Cananda. As also I would like to know which field have you established yourself in.

So I'm putting forward my dilemma to you guys asking for your help to make me understand my stand in the job market in Canada.

I am new here and i find this forum a very informative when it comes to immigrations issues and updates .I also applied through federal skilled and when i checked my status lately this is what is shown maybe you can help me explain further.I am already based here in Edmonton as TFW.

my status shows IN PROCESS
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Case Processing Centre Ottawa office. They are pending review.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 6, 2012.

May you can help if ill have a positive result on this kind of status..Will i get my PR soon?Thank you for your honest update..

You must report the birth of a child. You do not need to report the pregnancy, unless it interferes with obtaining medicals.

Check with your bank which issued your money order or cashier's check. They would tell you if your RPRF has been encashed " or not.
