Hi everyone, this should be easy to answer I hope-
My common-law partner (girlfriend) and I have been living in Canada together for 13 months now. We share house, expenses etc. etc. We've been together for 3 & 1/2 years. She is from NZ, I am a dual Canada-NZ citizen.
She has a study visa/open work permit, here that will expire in September 2017, giving us a year and a half to apply for PR. We want to get the PR status as soon as possible, so that she can have the best chance and jobs (once she graduates in a few months).
We are planning to apply outland, as we believe it is quicker. Her application should be processed in Sydney, Australia. She already has legal status here (study visa), so even if she leaves during the processing time, she should be allowed back into Canada. I'm just super confused about which forms?? Is outland called 'Family class'? and Inland is 'Canada Class'?.
Thanks for the help - it's so confusing navigating the immigration websites...
Cheers!
