Hi Friends,

I am a Canadian permanent resident. I would like to invite my father, my brother and sister-in-law (my brother's wife) to Canada for a 2 months visit.

Can my brother create one online application and includes his wife and father under the same online application?
Or, Does my brother has to create one online application for him and his wife together? And, another online application for my father?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
SKV

Can I fill out one visa application for my whole family if we are travelling together?
No. Each person must complete and sign the Application for Temporary Resident Visa (IMM 5257), as well as any other forms needed. Each applicant aged 18 or over must also complete the Family Information form (IMM 5645).
You can submit all family member applications in the same envelope with one payment receipt for the total fee for all of your applications.

>>Based on the websites'definition http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/glossary.asp#family_members
A family member is defined as an applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application to IRCC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

If we refer on what the links says, it seems:
1. Your brother can create an account for him and his wife.
2. Another account for your dad. If he creates an account, there is a form where he can declare that he is your dad's representative and doing transactions on his behalf.

Other members can correct me if this is wrong.

Note that they should be asking for a shorter visit, no more than a few weeks.
