Hi,

I want to make this post and ask for the help on my current situation ?. I currently doing an application for my parents visa and have a question regarding my father sistuation.

There is a question : "Has your family member ever committed, been arrested for, been charged with or convicted of any criminal offence in any country?"

which I plan to answer "yes".

However,The criminal charges was back in 1999, when my father was charged with disturbance of public peace and obstructing the duty officers. It was more than 20 years ago and he hasn't violate any laws after. Now these charges were expired and completely removed from his criminal record.

What would you guys doing in this situation. Should I say "no" instead of saying yes. Please advise. Thank you.

Definitely don't lie. If you lie, that could have very serious consequences for this application. Say yes, and explain the situation in an LOE. For non-serious crimes, there's a 10 year rehabilitation period. He's well past that.
