I am applying for study permit for fall 2013 UOAlberta. Is this advisable to apply visa for my family with me or should I get settled first and then apply for family visa

you can apply for your family if you have sufficient funds for the first 6-8 months as after that you and your wife both can apply for work permit if you stay full time and pass your courses from semester 1.

i was wondering about the same thing,
1) applying for your family with you at first will lower your chance of getting the visa?
2) applying for your family separately later on will lower their chances of getting their visa? meaning it's easier for them to apply at first with you rather than making a separate application later on?
