My parents stay in India and we are trying to get them here to stay with us. I have seen everyone get response for their application status within days but for some reason my parent's application is stuck at background check processing and eligibility has not even started. Any leads on what I should do? Is anyone else on the same boat??

My bad, I was talking about proof of funds.
They have given their medical exams but it has not been uploaded/linked to their application yet. Also, yes we have purchased insurance for them

So what is your question If you have applied? Just confused why you didn’t submit NOA with submission and submit a complete application.

So we have submitted all documents. NOA, my investments, my T4 slips and likewise all necessary information for my parents. The question I have is their application is stuck at background processing for past 2+ months. Can I order any notes to understand why the delay in background processing? Or is it just waiting game?

FYI -> When I check the status of their application, it mentions that they have not started reviewing eligibility as well!

May not be stuck it all depends on processing time. 2+ months is not a long wait for most applications.

2 months processing is nothing. If your TRV application is very clear cut you get a response (approval or refusal) quickly. If parents had previous visits to Canada, have travelled to other countries like US, UK, etc., have a good amount of savings, own property and have other strong ties the IRCC computer program may give approval very fast. Those who require a manual review by a VO take longer. It doesn’t mean they will be denied. How long have you been in Canada as a PR and since when have you worked in Canada? LICO is based on income already earned in Canada not salary which is not clear to everyone. Did your NOA meet LICO? Important to stress that they can visit you in Canada but longterm stay is not guaranteed. For example if they are unable to secure supervisa insurance one year they would need to return home. If they reach the expiry date of their visit to Canada they will need to return home. If you are trying to sponsor your parents the demand for spots is incredibly high so many wait 5+ years to get selected.
